Re: Hans Olsen on the AFA Game
What I hate about Hans is that he only talks about BYU and Utah and doesn't give the Eggies a fair shake despite his uncle being famous and a graduate of the aforementioned Eggies.

Re: Hans Olsen on the AFA Game
You should be happy he does talk about utah state at all. I have it on good authority that because he went to byu and is a cougar he should ONLY talk about BYU. That guy's is a terrible cougar to talk about Utah and USU as much as he does. I bet BYU fans hate the guy!flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2021, 1:35 pmWhat I hate about Hans is that he only talks about BYU and Utah and doesn't give the Eggies a fair shake despite his uncle being famous and a graduate of the aforementioned Eggies.

Re: Hans Olsen on the AFA Game
Hans was verbally committed to Utah State at one time before byu and some bigger schools came calling.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2021, 1:35 pmWhat I hate about Hans is that he only talks about BYU and Utah and doesn't give the Eggies a fair shake despite his uncle being famous and a graduate of the aforementioned Eggies.

Be sure to open the videos in a separate window and "like" them. Anything to show people watch these will be an incentive for him to continue to do them.

I would recommend those that have Twitter, also like them on there and other Aggie posts you happen upon. Click on Aggie articles and comment or like, etc. from news sources. Drive content or at least let them know we're here.travelingagg wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2021, 2:34 pmBe sure to open the videos in a separate window and "like" them. I think flying_scotsman is being sarcastic because that is what Aggies say all the time. I'm guilty of it myself. I agree that when we get some coverage, we need to let it be known (views, likes, retweets, comments) that there are a lot of Aggies who like and want more coverage.

I'm sure Scotty would love to talk about the Aggies more. His hands are tied by his employersflying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2021, 2:33 pmLet me just give more emphasis that I hate him because he doesn't talk about USU enough. I also hate Scotty and everyone.

Re: Hans Olsen on the AFA Game
Everyone seems to talk about how fast Utah State is playing..... except for those of us who still remember the 2018 season. This year's team moves at a snail's pace compared to 2018

Re: Hans Olsen on the AFA Game
Hahaha...I have made that comment a few times this season already too. When coach A kept mentioning in the preseason that we were going to go fast, like nothing we've ever seen, I imagined 2018 being played at 1.25x speed. Perhaps he wasn't aware of that season and the crazy records that team broke for number of scoring drives under 60 seconds, number of points scored, lack of time of possession, etc.trombone_ninja wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2021, 3:24 pmEveryone seems to talk about how fast Utah State is playing..... except for those of us who still remember the 2018 season. I agree, this team is SLOW compared to that team.

I actually very much appreciate Hans’ breakdown and perspective as a person who grew up not playing football.

Re: Hans Olsen on the AFA Game
It is certainly slow compared to 2018, but it is fast when it needs to be. It will be much more effective in big games when would get a 3 and out and then the defense was back on the field after a 40 second brake. It’s a lot more sustainable, I think.Aglicious wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2021, 3:56 pmHahaha...I have made that comment a few times this season already too. Re: Hans Olsen on the AFA Game
This is a good point. Even with a fast pace we have been much better at sustaining drives than we were then. Back then it seemed like we either scored in 3 or less plays or punted after a 3 and out. Some of that seems to be that we are in much more manageable 3rd down distances this year, some of that seems to be better play calling on 3rd down (even with a long distance to gain), and some of it is due to the fact that we are now willing to go for it on 4th down to keep a drive alive.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2021, 6:31 pmIt is certainly slow compared to 2018, but it is fast when it needs to be. Re: Hans Olsen on the AFA Game
In 2020 we had punted 24 times after 3 games, 2021 = 9.
What a difference it makes when the offence can move the ball down the field and the coaches are willing to go for it on 4th down.

As much as we love seeing Stephen punt the ball, I hope he only gets 9 more punts for the rest of the season.AussieAggieDad wrote: ↑September 22nd, 2021, 7:38 pmIn 2020 we had punted 24 times after 3 games, 2021 = 9.

Don't want to put the mozz on him but he's on track to have the same number of punts in 2021 in 12 games as for the 2020 season in only 6 games!

I bet he doesn't even know a single Scotsman... let alone love the spot where sagebrush grows.
