The PAC-12 is not good

Post by NowhereLandAggie » September 18th, 2021, 9:55 pm

Oregon is legitimate, and UCLA might be.

Utah lost to SDSU a week after BYU
Arizona lost to BYU and SDSU
ASU is being handled by BYU
Wazzu lost to USU
Washington lost to Montana.

All in all,. Not a great start.

Oregon State and USC had the wrong QB to start the season since the QB change they have been good.

I’ve definitely enjoyed seeing Utah lose to an in-state and MWC team more than I should have lmao.

Here is some food for thought.
Fresno State takes Oregon to the wire at Oregon. Oregon beats Ohio State at Ohio State
UCLA beats LSU. Fresno State currently beating UCLA at UCLA.
Arizona loses to both N Arizona, SDSU and YBU.
Washington loses to Montana
Washington State loses to Utah State
California loses to Nevada
Arizona State loses to YBU
Stanford loses to K State, Oregon State loses to Purdue, California loses to TCU, Washington loses at Michigan, Colorado loses to Minnesota
Utah loses to SDSU and YBU

BYU has beat 2 overrated Pac 12 teams. ASU beat SUU and UNLV and I guess those wins were good enough to be ranked before their loss tonight. And Arizona has gone 0-3.

The PAC 12 is good but the Mountain West is better. Honestly there are a handful of elite teams and the rest could be beat on any given day. That's why the whole G5 P5 is a joke. How about Note Dame beating Toledo in the last second and then a terrible CSU spanks Toledo on the road.

That hit that hurt Haener looked like a classic crown of the helmet spear to the hip.

Refs bailing out UCLA. Two bad no-call on holds and what I think was a bad PI call (though they didn't replay it, so can't be sure)

Haener for Fresno completed almost 74% of his passes for 455 yards. Not too shabby. With Haener, Strong, and Starkel there is some quality QB play in the conference

Anyone with an up to date record of the MWC against PAC12 with today’s games included?

I think before this weekend, the MWC was 12-10 vs the PAC-12 since the start of the 2019 season. So if that were the case, we are now 14-10 since 2019.

I don't think the PAC-12 is good.

Oregon obviously is a good team, I certainly won't take anything away from them. Fresno is obviously a good team so the close win doesn't diminish their undefeated record.

USC has only beaten SJSU, they will get other chances outside of conference to play ND and BYU.

They have been considered the worst of the P-5's for a while, and this year's results won't help.

Oregon could find their way into the conversation for the CFP, but running the table will be a tall order. They may have an easier path with the league being down though.

Are we to the point to were no PAC schools not named Oregon or USC can no longer “big time” us for better recruits? That would be kind of crazy, but it might be true.

It really is a complete shame that one of these sorry P12 south schools is going to be one win away from playing in a Rose bowl smh.
