Roll Call: WSU game!! Who's going?
Hopefully it's not too early for roll call, but I just booked a room (airbnb) and bought tickets to the game. Let's go, baby!!! Way excited. Sitting right behind the Aggie bench on the 50. Stubhub had them. Was not going to sit in the USU section, wherever those outer-darkness seats might've been or are.
What I learned:
Motels are filling up fast. Cost is 250 per night for a 2* and they require you to stay 2 nights. Ouch!
Airbnb seemed a reasonable way to go, but there are few left.
Tickets seemed easy to get on Stubhub. I paid a little extra to get good seats, as I was not going to travel to watch a game to sit in terrible seats. 176.00 for both with fees, etc. 50 yard line and row A. Might give you a little idea what's going on.

Me +2. Always a bit more enjoyable to sit near some Aggies at away games, so I was going to wait to see what sections others were in. There are plenty of seats available on StubHub.

At least 5 in my group. Staying in Lewiston as prices were more reasonable. Never been to WSU's stadium but it's a really small stadium especially for a power five team it seems like they're probably is not a real bad seat in the house.

Re: Roll Call: WSU game!! Who's going?
I think I see that row A is front row. My question is how are there so many front row tickets available on the secondary market? Just browsing the 144 front row seats available for USU, and double checked and saw 161 for Portland State. I see USU has around 80 against North Dakota for comparison and Oregon State has 15 for their game in Corvallis vs Hawaii. Anyone have any insight?

With this delta variant Covid spike I’m really beginning to wonder if the state of Washington is going to implement restrictions that will prevent fans from being able to attend this game.

Re: Roll Call: WSU game!! Who's going?
That, or while better than nothing, having to do some of the weird things we did last year. Like wearing masks to games, players families not being allowed near the locker rooms after games or at the team hotels, an announcement to leave immediately after the game is over, no programs, no concessions(at basketball, I do know they had them at football last year), the cheerleaders in the stands, etc.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑August 1st, 2021, 5:17 pmWith this delta variant Covid spike I’m really beginning to wonder if the state of Washington is going to implement restrictions that will prevent fans from being able to attend this game.
It doesn't feel like it is set in stone we will have full crowds, without masks, players families having the OK to be at the team hotel and wait for their kid outside the locker rooms, the cheerleaders on the field, etc. until we are playing the game under the normal conditions.

Not if the state/federal government says otherwise. I won’t surprised if no one has crowds. I certainly hope we do but things seem to be increasing.aggies22 wrote: ↑August 1st, 2021, 5:36 pmUnless they want to continue to lose their financial a$$, they'll make it happen. Me + 5
We will be in Section 23 a little over halfway up. Aggie84025 is right that there aren't really any bad seats in the house. The east end zone sections of 13-20 aren't great for half of the game, and you have to crane your neck around to see replays, but still aren't bad. IIRC Section 13-14 are the tickets you will get if you buy through the USU ticket office. Depending on the time of day for the kickoff, those east endzone seats are really warm and sunny.
For those that want a shorter walk, the predominant Utah religion has a chapel a very short distance from the stadium (under 1/4 mile) and last time I knew they weren't chaining the parking lot off on gameday. However, ward boundaries changed early last year and I now go to Moscow to meet, so can't confirm whether that is still the case. I will ask around to see and come back to verify. I didn't go to any WSU games last year, but the year before that we parked in the church parking lot for games. Just note that if you choose this option, you shouldn't try to get to the building from Stadium Way. It is better to take a back way from the golf course.

When I was there (the last season there were actually fans) this was highly dependent on how the stake presidency was feeling that week and which wards elders quorum was assigned parking lot duty... it was fairly hit and miss.jpswensen wrote: ↑August 2nd, 2021, 12:30 pmMe + 5

Re: Roll Call: WSU game!! Who's going?
I heard back this evening. This is the response:
"We will have a couple of good brothers facilitating parking at the church for the games this year. So in short, the lot will be open, but there will be a limited number of spots. When they are filled, the lot will be closed so as to avoid crowding, etc."
There have been problems in the past of people parking outside of designated spots, blocking people in, etc. It seems they will be safeguarding against that this year.
Also, as I mentioned previously, Stadium Way gets progressively more congested as gametime nears and I think they shut it completely down at some point nearing kickoff so that the tailgaters from across the street can make it over safely. I would say the best route to get to the church parking lot is Terre View to Merman to Valley Road (east direction) which turns into Orchard after rounding the bend near the student playfields. The other option would be Terre View to Fairway Rd to Fairway Lane to Orchard.

Re: Roll Call: WSU game!! Who's going?
I will say this speaking from experience. Free parking that close to the stadium goes quick. You probably want to be there an hour and half before kickoff to get a spot.jpswensen wrote: ↑August 8th, 2021, 11:05 pmI heard back this evening. This is the response:

In the past they have had the gate closed all day and open it 2 hours before the game and its fairly full within a half hour. They also won't let you tailgate so plan ahead.

Almost finalized. Where are Usu seats? They want $55. Tickets for the corners are available for $23plus fees. Is there a planned pregame alumni get together? That makes it a good reason to arrive early like I did at Husky stadium.

13 & 14 are the visitors section. First row is row A and row 1 is the 14th row of seats. The secondary markets has a ton of better seats available for less, but you won't be surrounded by Aggies.
Row 26-28 in section 6 are the highest priced season tickets, and it get cheaper as you get closer to the field. Here is a link to the 3d seating chart with views.

Re: Roll Call: WSU game!! Who's going?
Thanks. I’ve check the seating charts and wondered the USU section. As long as it’s in a area not full of partiers, I can deal mixing in with wsu. I dislike UW right behind the other 2 hated schools.
