3.5
Is what Vegas has initially set our win total at for this season. What would you bet, the over or under? Looking at our schedule I can see a path to 4 or more wins, so the over looks tempting to me.

These odds are from the southpoint in Vegas. They are usually first to post in town. Other sportsbooks will probably post in July, but if you're in town there is at least on place you can bet it right now.

The over seems like a really, really safe bet if Bonner is even 80% this year.

Depends on the line. Most places haveaggies22 wrote: ↑June 8th, 2021, 6:07 pmWhat's the return on the over?3rdGenAggie wrote: ↑June 8th, 2021, 4:13 pmThe over seems like a really, really safe bet if Bonner is even 80% this year.
Utah State. 3 wins. Over -134. Under +102
So if you got those odds and -134 you would need to bet $134 to win $100
If you took the under and bet $100 you would win $102
So $100 bet on the over would pay $74 in profit. Plus original $100 of course

FYI betting MLB baseball is by far the hardest to understand and get a good feel for IMHO. College football the easiest.

Agree, I think Bonner is a nice piece of the offense, but if the team plays like what it looks like on paper? We can win games with one of the other QB's.
Bonner was a rotational QB at AState. I could see that happening here

I've had the most luck betting college basketball. Homecourt advantage plays a much bigger part in college basketball than other sports making it more predictable.MWCFAN12 wrote: ↑June 8th, 2021, 8:04 pmDepends on the line. Interesting. I have done well with betting elevation and spread in college basketball and football. Wyoming, CSU, air force is one I watch a lot.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑June 9th, 2021, 10:34 pmI've had the most luck betting college basketball. Just curious. Having never bet online. Is there a place to go to bet this line. Is it allowed in UTAH. That's probably a dumb question. I just have no idea haha.

Re: 3.5
Online sports betting in Utah is still illegal. The state tries to block gambling sites of operations with in the state. That works fine for some sites mostly US based sites. Oversea sites are nearly impossible to regulate, and cant really be taken to court by the State.aggiesdidwhat wrote: ↑June 21st, 2021, 11:19 pmJust curious. Having never bet online. I personally have family that live in Las Vegas and bet through them. Or go to Wendover / Mesquite.
I have used a over sea web site a time or 2. Problem with those sites is if they decided not to pay you. There is nothing you can do about it.
I believe you can bet on US sites from Wyoming however.

It’s not legal in Wyoming right now. Colorado, yes.MWCFAN12 wrote: ↑June 26th, 2021, 7:07 pmOnline sports betting in Utah is still illegal. Not in my experience - they use GPS to detect your location and if you're using a known solution to hide location they know it and will block you.

Re: 3.5
I got over 3 wins at -125 on Draft Kings on May 26th
I love the way the schedule breaks down with a lot of the winnable games coming after the bye. As long as they get a win against UND I like the chances after the bye as that gives the team more time to hit their stride under the new coach

Re: 3.5
How does betting work in terms of location. Do I need to live in a betting state or can I just be physically present in that state when the bet is made?

For the legal books like DraftKings and Fan Duel you can create an account anywhere but you need to be physically present in a legal State to place a wager.Imakeitrain wrote: ↑June 29th, 2021, 5:35 pmHow does betting work in terms of location.
