The last of the USU v. BYU Friday night games ...

will almost certainly be on October 1, 2021. With the LDS Church announcing today that there will be no future Saturday evening general conference sessions, BYU no longer has any reason to avoid playing on the first Saturday of October.

I enjoyed the Friday night games, and it gave both schools (particularly BYU) a little more motivation to keep each other on the schedules. But with BYU's ongoing independence, I think that BYU is going to need to continue to schedule the Aggies even without the accommodation that USU has been willing to make by playing on Fridays.

I could still see the Friday night game scheduled since it’s only the Saturday evening session being axed.

That's my feeling. Fridays work well for people coming into town for conference. BYU allows everyone to focus on the game and then on conference.

I actually liked that Friday night game. I hope we keep that one going. That is if BYU doesn't try to big time us with some crazy 2 for 1 or something.

Also the game is like the only one or one of two games playing that night on a good TV slot. I think this will continue on Friday nights.

I don't know why they wouldn't continue. You think byu would play a game on the same day as General Conference? It seems like if they don't play on Friday, they would just have a bye.

They'll still play it on Friday. Too many fans of both teams treat that Saturday as the equivalent of a Sunday and attendance would be poor at USU and abysmal at BYU. It works for both fanbases and makes sense for that reason. I'd be in attendance regardless.

It's actually about as bad as the uea/deer hunt weekends if there is conference and we're playing anyone else. It's moot though. BYU won't play on conference Saturday, so it doesn't matter.

The shiatsu massage place closed down suddenly after a news crew showed up. They're one of the vacancies, but part of the sign is still up.
