Following alabama recruiting, they have a ton of visitors in this month now that visits are ok as of today.
@aggies22 do you foresee a lot of visitors into Logan this month?

Unofficial visits, perhaps I suppose. However, the coaching staff will not be conducting actual official visits until December.

Re: Visits this month
What is the reason for this? If other schools are doing official visits starting now, doesn't that put us at a pretty sizeable disadvantage? Wouldn't they want to do official visits at least during the season for home games?aggies22 wrote: ↑June 1st, 2021, 11:57 amAggieforlife wrote: ↑June 1st, 2021, 11:50 amI was told yesterday that we have 40 visits In the next 2 weeks.

Re: Visits this month
I think they're pretty comfortable with where they're sitting with the players that are currently committed. There isn't a huge rush to hurry and get these guys on campus for a visit.thegreendalegelf wrote: ↑June 1st, 2021, 12:09 pmWhat is the reason for this? Re: Visits this month
Are most of the unofficial visitors kids who are local, or are they coming from all over?
Glad to hear we have kids already here and it sounds like plenty more to come and view campus. This time of year campus is so nice and as always great views and scenery.

Is the difference between unofficial and official is unofficial they pay for the trip? It’s a good sign they are here the first day of visits imo.aggies22 wrote: ↑June 1st, 2021, 3:04 pmThere are three very good uncommitted unofficial visitors on campus today.thegreendalegelf wrote: ↑June 1st, 2021, 12:09 pmWhat is the reason for this? Re: Visits this month
Unofficial visit means they pay to be here. Official visit means we foot the bill.slcagg wrote: ↑June 1st, 2021, 3:46 pmIs the difference between unofficial and official is unofficial they pay for the trip? Re: Visits this month
Yes, Logan is pretty this time of year but my experience with football players is that is not what impresses them. The scenery they prefer comes in the form of daisy dukes and halter tops chasing frisbees around the old main quad. That particular imagery (late 70’s) has somehow, sadly declined over the years. This was also a frequent visually pleasant occurrence in the Fall. I miss those days.browntown wrote: ↑June 1st, 2021, 3:29 pmAre most of the unofficial visitors kids who are local, or are they coming from all over?

Ahhh, and eating aggie ice cream right outside the shop on the quad people watching. Even though my memory cells can no longer fire up images, the though of it makes me all warm and tingly.bullshot wrote: ↑June 2nd, 2021, 7:48 amYes, Logan is pretty this time of year but my experience with football players is that is not what impresses them. LOL, I got a ticket from a campus cop driving my car on the walkway across the quad from Old Main toward the business building. Cop actually lit me up probably 1 in the morning. Walked up and asked WTF I was doing? I shrugged and looked over at my date, he looked in at her and kind of nodded in understanding.

Here is a kid visiting. From Arkansas (near university of Arkansas). Believe he has a Arkansas offer.

Re: Visits this month
Would love to land this 6'3" athletic burner with great hands. Just what we need and he should be able to step in and be a contributor right away. We have our work cut out however, considering he has official visits set up with WSU, Illinois, and K-state over the next few weeks. Not to mention home state unofficial visits he's already made to Arkansas and Arky-State. That being said, if we've ever had a staff that could pull out some recruiting magic, it's this staff!
