Banda Recruiting Rank
Not sure if many on here subscribe to Rivals but they ranked him as the #3 recruiter in the country last cycle.
I’ve said before this will be the best recruiting staff we’ve had and he’s a big reason why.

This is when my Aggie paranoia and inferiority complex kick in. How long will we be able to keep him?

Re: Banda Recruiting Rank
My guess is that he accepted the job so he could be a coordinator calling the plays and eventually a head coach. Don’t think he will get poached to be a position coach unless he does poorly.

Anthony Tucker also had some pretty damn impressive success while he was at Maryland and Central Florida.Intermeddler wrote: ↑February 5th, 2021, 11:57 amNot sure if many on here subscribe to Rivals but they ranked him as the #3 recruiter in the country last cycle.

Re: Banda Recruiting Rank
I'll be worried about this if he can recruit some players that we shouldn't be getting. It's one thing to get a local FL kid to stay at a smaller school. Let see if he can get that FL kid out here, or perhaps even steal some recruits that may have been a Utah lock in years past.

Re: Banda Recruiting Rank
He seems like a very solid recruiter. That being said it is different to recruit Florida kids to South Beach rather than to Logan. If he can get some recruits that are way above what we are used to than he will be doing awesome.

Re: Banda Recruiting Rank
It's all about the playing field that you are on.
Yes, it's a lot easier to get a 4 star kid from Florida to go to Miami than it is Utah State. That doesn't matter.
What does matter is that Banda was beating Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, and Texas to those kids.
Now he has to beat Boise, CSU, Fresno etc... to higher end 3 star kids.
Based on how he's done on one field, I'm confident he's going to kill it on this one.

Re: Banda Recruiting Rank
We've had a lot of success in the past landing speedsters out of the state of FL who were overlooked. I assume that pipeline stays open.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑February 5th, 2021, 2:08 pmI'll be worried about this if he can recruit some players that we shouldn't be getting. Re: Banda Recruiting Rank
Assume one year, hope for two. That's just our lot in life -- good new coordinators make their name here and their fortune somewhere else. If he's here for three, we're in trouble.
Enjoy the good ones while you can.

You may $hit if you saw the pair of Florida kids that HAD offers and TRIED to verbally commit that the last staff turned away.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑February 6th, 2021, 12:03 amWe've had a lot of success in the past landing speedsters out of the state of FL who were overlooked. That staff is gone. Throw them under the bus and give us the kids names.aggies22 wrote: ↑February 6th, 2021, 9:31 amYou may $hit if you saw the pair of Florida kids that HAD offers and TRIED to verbally commit that the last staff turned away.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑February 6th, 2021, 12:03 amWe've had a lot of success in the past landing speedsters out of the state of FL who were overlooked. Not that I am biased in protecting the former staff, but there has to be more this story than just plain incompetence.aggies22 wrote: ↑February 6th, 2021, 9:31 amYou may $hit if you saw the pair of Florida kids that HAD offers and TRIED to verbally commit that the last staff turned away.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑February 6th, 2021, 12:03 amWe've had a lot of success in the past landing speedsters out of the state of FL who were overlooked.
