Re: New RB Commit Calvin Tyler Jr.
Looks like 45 yards last year and about 70 the year before. Curious if this is a scholarship kid?

RB was the strength of OSU’s team. He was 3rd on the depth chart between two guys talented enough to be P5 feature backs. I think he’ll do well at USU.

Re: New RB Commit Calvin Tyler Jr.
He was definitely a high school star in Texas and has some talent. Some kids just need an opportunity. He didn’t get many carries playing behind a couple other quality backs at OSU. Like most backs he struggled against the Utes but had a nice yards/carry average (over 5) against the other opponents (USC, ASU, ....). I think he’ll be a nice addition and play with the proverbial chip on his shoulder.ineptimusprime wrote:RB was the strength of OSU’s team. Re: New RB Commit Calvin Tyler Jr.
Looks like he had offers from Cal, Illinois, Oregon State, and Army (along with other lower schools) and interest from a bunch more. How many years does he have left? I like a mid 3 star prospect.
GO AGGIES! GO AGGIES! HEY! HEY! HEY!
Re: New RB Commit Calvin Tyler Jr.
After watching his high school film there is one back I could not help but think of every time he took a hand off. He runs exactly like turbin! Same form, same style, and great speed. He’s not a dance in the hole shifty type runner. He hits it hard and fast! I’m really really excited about this pick up! OSU has very good backs I’m not at all worried about him being third on their depth chart. The starter would start for any team in the country he’s that good.AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2021, 8:10 pmHe’s got a little bit of Darwin Thompson to his game.

Re: New RB Commit Calvin Tyler Jr.
He was a redshirt junior this year so he should have two years left since this year didn’t count.
