Wow, this is truly sad. Brian was one of my favorite players from those teams that I personally associate with the building up of USU football since its down years and I always envisioned him as one of those teammates who was impossible not to like. Brian was incredibly gracious to my kids and nephew while taking some pictures after one of the spring games and I've remembered him as an uncommonly genuine dude ever since. I'm glad to have met him and shaken his hand. So sorry to his family for his loss. Thoughts and prayers.

Wow very sad. I used to drive by his high school Punahou where him and Obama went almost everyday. There was a few times people would bring him up when I was wearing a Utah State shirt.
Very sad, RIP.

Aggie legend. Sounds like a great young man on the field and most importantly off the field. Prayers for his mother. The loss of a husband and son is devastating.

May Brian's legacy be eternal.

Very sad news today. 2020 just keeps on getting worse.I sat next to Brian's mom at a basketball game a few years back and really enjoyed getting to know her. Brian was a great person that came from a great family. RIP.

I hate cancer. What a sad deal. I still remember clearly Brian taking care of Taysom Hill in two different games. I'm sure he gave Taysom nightmares. Rest in Peace Brian. I love all Aggies.

Very sad news indeed. What a great Aggie, and what a tremendous heart to fight the cancer as long as he did. My best to his family. His poor mother. Ugh.

Brian was an only child. I can’t imagine losing a spouse and my only child within a couple of years. And she is such a sweet lady too. We went to the a game in Hawaii 6 or 7 years ago. Howard and Wendy hosted the tailgate at the Honolulu yacht club. They were so kind and their extended family was awesome too. It was fun talking with them and then seeing them later in Logan and visiting with them during games. My heart breaks for Wendy and her family. Image

We can thank Brian for single-handedly keeping a lid on the delusions that would have come out of Provo had Taysom been allowed to become The One Mighty and Strong, come to save all the world from darkness. Very few Aggies can claim that honor. His parents were a delight and came to every game, according to my wife. A heartbreaking day for our university.

My two favorite Aggie safety's of all time are Brian Suite and Eric Brindley. This flat out sucks a big one.

It’s said you don’t get more than you can handle, what this woman has had to endure over the last 14 months is unimaginable - I feel for her and the extended family.

He was fun to watch - I think he got a tryout with the Seahawks, right?

Both he and Suite - great USU safeties, for sure. What a tragedy for Brian's mother to deal with. Unimaginable. I hope she finds a way to pick the pieces up and find some happiness in life going forward.
