Bobby Wagner
Bobby Wagner
Booby was named first team all-pro for the 6th time. I think another two seasons of great production and he is in Canton.

I will be there when he is inducted to Canton just like I will be in Springfield when Queta goes into the basketball hall of fame.

If he didn't play another snap, he would still end up in Canton.

I hope he claims Utah State and not Colony High.

Yep 6 first team all pro selections will do that.GeorgiaAggie wrote: ↑January 8th, 2021, 12:57 pmIf he didn't play another snap, he would still end up in Canton.

Re: Bobby Wagner
He has more first team all pro selections than Merlin now. Merlin's longevity was incredible though. We'll see if Wagner can keep up this high level for another 5 years.

Re: Bobby Wagner
I believe Merlin still holds the record for most Pro Bowls in a career with 14 as well.

Re: Bobby Wagner
I think they are tied. Merlin was first team all pro in 1964 and then every year from 1966 to 1970. He was second team three times plus a 14-time Pro Bowler (as others have mentioned).Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑January 8th, 2021, 10:48 pmHe has more first team all pro selections than Merlin now. Re: Bobby Wagner
Merlin, no disrespect to Bobby, but the 14 straight Pro Bowls is still an NFL record. He was named to the 75th and All Century team. Not sure Wagner would have made that list.
Both phenomenal players.

Yes, the correct answer is Merlin, but that's nothing against what Bobby has and is doing!

Re: Bobby Wagner
I look at it this way, would you rather have a Rolls Royce or Lamborghini?
Tough to complain about either one.

Re: Bobby Wagner
Speaking of Wagner, I had to laugh at this comment on Cougarboard. Maile is getting credit for having coached Wagner now.

Re: Bobby Wagner
I take a little exception that you think I am against what Wagner is doing. I am one of Bobby’s biggest fans and think he is one of the best ever. And if he continues down the path he is on...I would rate him right along Merlin as the best.
I am one of the very lucky few to have seen both of them play many many times in person. They are both great. Merlin had more time.

Re: Bobby Wagner
Bobby is the greatest Aggie I have watched live. Tony Jones recently talked about Bobby. (He covered the Aggies when Bobby was in Logan). He said something along the lines of how you could see and predict that Bobby would be a great pro. He was so dominant.

Look I hate ybu fans as much as the next guy but I am 100% sincere when I say this. That is by far the dumbest fan base in the country. Not just when it comes to byu sports but just sports in general. I occasionally venture over to cooterboard and every time I do my IQ drops significantly.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑January 11th, 2021, 10:52 amSpeaking of Wagner, I had to laugh at this comment on Cougarboard.
