BA's previous coordinator budget.

Post by AggieFanNate » December 15th, 2020, 11:07 am

I'm curious how much more resources we are gonna be able to provide for a coordinator compared to Arkansas. We gave him a pay rise i want to know what he will be able to improve upon with us.

Supposedly he has an assistant pay pool of $2.5 million, which I think is a significant increase on what USU has offered before.

Yea but compared to what he could get with arkansas. Specifically I just want to know he will be able to have more support Defensively with his Coordinator. You know what I mean? his weakest link is defense and if he can get someone who can really coordinate that we can be really really good.

I think it puts it at the top or very close to the top of the Mountain West as far as assistant pools go. Back in January the top two in the conference were Boise with $2.13M and Fresno with $2.0M. So unless they've gone up since then we're at the top. That's something I didn't think I'd see at Utah State as far as salaries go.

I'm not sure what it was at A State, but I'd be shocked if this wasn't an increase for him.

According to the USA Today salary database, here are the numbers for Utah State and Arkansas State assistant pool as of Jan 2020:

Utah State: 1.78 Million
Arkansas State: 1.18 Million

Like HomeTown mentioned above, our new pool of $2.5 Million for BA's assistants is the top in the MWC. Unless another school has increased theirs within the last year.

Guys remember that pool is for more than coaches its also for support staff, such as director of player personnel etc..

I believe the head strength coach salary also comes out of that budget.

And can we please stop calling "Arkansas State" by the wrong name of "Arkansas"

We don't like getting called "Utah," so why are we doing this to other schools? It's so easy to type the right thing.

Haha but Arkansas is already a long word you throw State on the back and its hard. Its not like Utah state which is easy.

How about A-State and U-State which we're both known by?
