Everyone needs to give Isaac a pass on this one. Sounds like the only thing he got wrong is Harrell being a self-serving douchebag. Had every reason to think it was a done deal but for Harrell’s apparent bad faith.
And if nothing else, I think I’ve figured out who YBA is on Twitter.

If you were given an interview and a job offer for a job that maybe you have some interest in but aren't completely sold on, would you not leverage it to help your current situation at your job? It sucks for USU, but Harrell did nothing wrong.
Isaac jumped to conclusions and reported them as facts. Is he a bad person for doing so? No, of course not. But he doesn't "get a pass" for reporting false information just because he wanted to be the first one on it.

I don’t think I’ve ever interviewed for a job I wouldn’t take if offered. Maybe I am wired different than most.

Me neither. I've never had to play that game thankfully, because I don't have the time or energy for it. I'm 100% committed one way or another, which has served me pretty well being that at 42 years old I've been at my current company 16 years.

So if it is officially not going to be him, that is too bad. He is definitely one that would have excited me. Oh well though, onto the next.

For the last time, Maile is not getting the job.
That sounds very similar to the talk about Duryea.

It's a no. As we know, thing can change on a dime in coaching searches, but Harrell has given USU a no and I don't expect that to change.

Which would be a disaster, but I'm having 2015 PTSD. The Duryea debacle was so bad and it was so obvious it was going to not work.

And as great as well think Hartwell is, he has been rumored for other jobs for years. My PTSD is kicking in and imagining him giving Maile the job and taking some SEC AD job a month later.

Sounds like Harrell turned it down.
This doesn't surprise me. I heard he turned down washington state last year(not sure if true). Why would he do that then come here.
I’m confused??? How do you get multiple people saying he’s the head coach and then say he’s turned down? And who told you this information lmao
Nobody told me. It’s just reading the tea leaves of people with sources saying Harrell is the new coach (meaning they heard he was being offered) and then people with sources saying “no so fast” (meaning he turned it down).
‘Not so fast’ doesn’t necessarily mean he turned them down if you haven’t been told specifically that he turned them down. Could mean they’re still negotiating and the contract hasn’t been signed.
Yup exactly. Isaac has historically been a really good source. Could be wrong but I’d bet that it very possible.
Isaac is wrong. Graham Harrell will not be coaching at USU and there are no current negotiations. He wanted so badly to be first that he "reported" recklessly and got hopes up.
And you know this how?
Because he's on twitter calling him fake news.

Either you work for the AD and should be fired because loose lips sink ships or you’re just as full of it and making a prediction. I also predict Harrell won’t coach here. I’m just not pretending I know anything about it.

I feel like you’re doing exactly what you accuse issac of doing.
We'll see who ends up being right.
That wasn’t my point.
You are definitively stating that Harrell turned down an offer.
Either you work for the AD and should be fired because loose lips sink ships or you’re just as full of it and making a prediction. I also predict Harrell won’t coach here. I’m just not pretending I know anything about it.
Harrell did turn down an offer. I do not work for the AD, but I have very reliable information on this one. Unlike Isaac's sources. And I don't give a damn if you believe me, you'll see.

Dude! Are you reading your own messages?? You are literally being EXACTLY what you’re complaining about...
I'm complaining about Isaac posting false information and passing it off as fact. I'm posting true information, and you can accept it as fact or not, but I thought some on this board may be interested to know it.

I have my reasons not to, and I owe you nothing. Me bringing this info to this board was for no other reason than to temper expectations after Isaac reported false information.
If you don't believe me, fine. But there's a reason Isaac has walked his original statement back. Every single thing I've said on this matter is 100% accurate.
