Re: Graham Herrell
This doesn't surprise me. I heard he turned down washington state last year(not sure if true). Why would he do that then come here.

Re: Graham Herrell
I’m confused??? How do you get multiple people saying he’s the head coach and then say he’s turned down? And who told you this information lmaoLarryTheAggie wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 7:21 pmThis doesn't surprise me. I heard he turned down washington state last year(not sure if true). Re: Graham Herrell
Because you get people on Twitter who like to "break news" before it actually happens just to try and be first. That's what happened tonight.Notatrueaggie wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 7:23 pmI’m confused??? How do you get multiple people saying he’s the head coach and then say he’s turned down? Re: Graham Herrell
So if Harrell told them no thank you, then that means we didn’t get our first choice. That means this is gonna potentially open up the door for guys like Choate, Hill and Maile. If I’m Hartwell, with how disastrous this whole year has been, now I am looking at Hill or Choate or some other head coach. Of course this is all speculation on my part, but where do we go from here?

Re: Graham Herrell
Harrell makes $1.2M a year and despite LA having turned into a slum over the last decade- it has a lot better weather, beaches and things to do than anywhere in Utah.LarryTheAggie wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 7:21 pmThis doesn't surprise me. If Hartwell is making offers to people likely to decline them he is wasting his time. Don’t offer until you know the answer is yes, aside from terms.

Nobody told me. It’s just reading the tea leaves of people with sources saying Harrell is the new coach (meaning they heard he was being offered) and then people with sources saying “no so fast” (meaning he turned it down).Notatrueaggie wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 7:23 pmI’m confused??? Re: Graham Herrell
‘Not so fast’ doesn’t necessarily mean he turned them down if you haven’t been told specifically that he turned them down. Could mean they’re still negotiating and the contract hasn’t been signed.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 7:27 pmNobody told me. Yup exactly. Isaac has historically been a really good source. Re: Graham Herrell
The same thing happened with Gary two years ago. It came out that Gary was going to be the coach, then there was nothing official yet and a couple days later, Gary became the coach.

Isaac is wrong. Graham Harrell will not be coaching at USU and there are no current negotiations. I won't say. But you'll see in time that I'm right. Graham Harrell will not be the coach at USU. Graham Herrell played for The Red Raiders. The Red Raiders *might* need a coach sometime soon. He's allegedly pumping his stock.AngusAg wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 8:07 pmIs there a connection to TT with this?stang wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 8:01 pmI won't say. The amount of energy necessary to refute bull pucky is an order of magnitude greater than to produce it.

That I'm not sure of. There were multiple people interviewed, and I know one or two stood out above the rest along with Harrell. I don't know if those candidates are still options, or if USU dives right back into the search.MTAG wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 8:15 pmOk so let me ask you this, if what you’re saying is true, (and I believe you), do they have a plan B and another favorite for the job, or is it back to the drawing board?stang wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 8:01 pmI won't say. Re: Graham Herrell
Herrell would have been a mighty feather in the cap of Hartwell, but it would appear that isn't going to happen eh?
It never really added up in my eyes. Guy makes 1.2 million and turned down the Washington State job last year... only to take the Utah State job this year?
Matt is about to get canned and bought out. That's the play here.
I guess you don't know if you don't try.
Plenty of good coordinators in the Pac-10 still avail.

Sounds we were just Harrell’s attempt at leverage. Lame.

Re: Graham Herrell
Watch us go back to a search, Maile get it by default and Hartwell bolt for the Georgia job. Sorry I have Duryea ptsdstang wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 8:17 pmThat I'm not sure of. But you'll see in time that I'm right. Graham Harrell will not be the coach at USU. An offer was extended, but there's no ongoing negotiation.MTAG wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 7:55 pmAnd you know this how?stang wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 7:54 pmIsaac is wrong. Graham Harrell will not be coaching at USU and there are no current negotiations. He wanted so badly to be first that he "reported" recklessly and got hopes up.slcagg wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 7:49 pmYup exactly. Isaac has historically been a really good source. Could be wrong but I’d bet that it very possible.bluegrouse wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 7:37 pm‘Not so fast’ doesn’t necessarily mean he turned them down if you haven’t been told specifically that he turned them down. Could mean they’re still negotiating and the contract hasn’t been signed.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 7:27 pmNobody told me. How do you get multiple people saying he’s the head coach and then say he’s turned down? And who told you this information lmaoLarryTheAggie wrote: ↑December 4th, 2020, 7:21 pmThis doesn't surprise me. I heard he turned down washington state last year(not sure if true). Why would he do that then come here.
