Keep in mind that the transfer situation is not a one way deal....you guys will have incoming transfers too
“You guys”

:cool2:
Was gonna say...we’re getting a “you guys” outta Tania?

Jordan about to peace out too?

And I wouldn’t blame him, honestly.
This is his senior year and he is just going be done after this year and not play anywhere.
Uhhh... if you say so
It was the post in this thread I remember.

Gotcha - it’s his Sr yr but he has 1 yr left of eligibility. Im workin on him guys. Bare with me. Im not sure what he’s feeling right now. Things look very grim for the team. Jordan really likes Coach Phillips and he knows with getting a new HC comes new position coaches etc.

DT needs to be closer to his children so now is a good time to make that happen
Jordan needs to do what is best for Jordan. I can respect whatever he decides. Big decision for him, best of luck.

I assumed DT had to do with his kids, guessing he plays somewhere in Florida next year. I had assumed his kids were in Logan.

It's one thing to leave after the season. It's another to quit mid-season.

Nobody wants to hear this, but this is a lost season. If DT knows that he's going back home next year, given everything that has gone down this year, not to mention he's on his second coaching staff and how many coordinators now, he's smart not to risk his body if that's where things are and he's already back home mentally. That may sound selfish, but he's got a future, kids included, to think about too. When things start falling apart around you, it's easy to get thinking about home and he's a kid himself. Best of luck to him, he's very talented and he'll be missed.

We also really need good players.
While I value good players, I value a good team more.

Even if we hired an amazing new coach tomorrow, we'd lose some good players. Remember, Smith was hired before McEwen left.

I don't know Brownjeans. Put yourself in DT's shoes. You are a father. You're on your third coaching staff in as many years with three different coordinators and will be experiencing your third different QB. If you stay, you will likely get your 4th different HC and OC. Might you want to start over somewhere more established and closer to home with a QB that can get you the ball and two years of eligibility to help you make the league?

Can't say I'd label that as someone who doesn't have their mind right. I might say the opposite.

Don't take my statement as a criticism of Tompkins, but as confidence that if we hire the right coach, it won't matter to lose some players.

Remember, Smith came, we lost McEwen, we were great.

Ahh yes. I agree with you. If we can hold onto the two deep on our OL, I'm confident we can have a winning season next year with the right hire.

I don't know, but if you are going to fire a coach mid season, it would lead me to think that you would have your ducks in a row and be ready to hire a new coach pretty quick, you are bleeding players "John" what are you going to do?
I strongly suspect it was more than just 0-3.

Tania is right, the transfer situation swings both ways. We’ll get some in our favor as well.

So, has everyone stopped pretending that athletes also come for an education? Seems very disrupting to be transferring etc.

In Mr Nathan’s situation, he loves football; like eats, breathes and poops football...I would not let him
Play with just a C average, the min requirement, he had to have a B average. He used to tell me I dont want to be an average football player, he wanted to be great...so I said we have to start with better than average grades then... literally stressed him out all of high school about grades....so to your point, he was offered a scholarship for his football ability and is now working on his Masters because his football ability that earned him a scholarship. He hates school work, but knows it goes hand in hand with with being able to play.

I am assuming that when Jordan moves on you will stick around anyway. You are part of the fam.

Just a thought but maybe trigger happy Hartwell should have waited until after the Air Force game to Let GA go and maybe you wouldn't have lost all of your good players.
How should “trigger happy” Hartwell have responded to Gary quitting?

I don't know the ins and outs, but it was clear Gary did not want the season to take place. It surely has sucked, but at least we can cut the losses and move on.

If we make a good hire in the next couple weeks he can withdraw from the portal if the new coach persuades him.
Just going to :thanks: since it happens so rarely.

All any WR needs to do is hear the names Omar Bayless and Jay Adams and they should be sold on this staff/scheme offensively....

I had Bayless on my college football fantasy team last year and he was my top scoring WR by far every week! He was a beast! I didn’t put two and two together that Anderson coached him.
