I'm seated near you then. We were about five rows up. Morrison had a great game that day.

Re: This looks fun
That was a game we won even with a 5-1 turnover ratio. I later saw a stat with NFL games on how rare it is for a team to win with that kind of ratio.

Re: This looks fun
This is going to be a really unpopular football opinion, but I don’t like watching/playing football in the rain/snow/cold. Don’t like how weather can impact the game.

That is a very popular opinion. 2010 Usu vs Hawaii saw our fanbase get up and leave when it started raining. I stayed, but most didn't. People don't like watching games in bad weather.thetrueaggie wrote: ↑November 14th, 2020, 9:01 amThis is going to be a really unpopular football opinion, but I don’t like watching/playing football in the rain/snow/cold. This. I prefer watching in good weather. While I will brave the cold for November games, I have to admit I find myself watching an NFL playoff game in January and being glad I'm by a fireplace and not out in the cold.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑November 14th, 2020, 9:11 amThat is a very popular opinion. 2010 Usu vs Hawaii saw our fanbase get up and leave when it started raining. One thing that I know some people will disagree with me on is watching football in domed stadiums. I know of one fan who didn't care to travel to San Antonio to watch us play UTSA CAUSE of their domed stadium, while I was all the more enthusiastic about seeing us play somewhere unique like that.

IIRC I was at that game. We ended up going into the locker room and watched the game from in there. fun side note Wild Bill came in and hung out with us for a while too. We would have stayed out but none of us had rain gear.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑November 14th, 2020, 9:11 amThat is a very popular opinion. 2010 Usu vs Hawaii saw our fanbase get up and leave when it started raining. I remember that Hawaii game as well. It was decent weather to start the game and I remember looking at the student section and a lot of them were in t shirts out light jackets. Looking towards the Wellsvilles you could see a wall of white moving in. It got just after the first quarter iirc and that’s when the exodus started.

That Hawaii game was a tough one. My group stayed for the whole thing as we were ripped to shreds in that 2nd half. I remember another fan yelling at us for criticizing the 2nd half play. The following play resulted in us throwing an interception. We loudly commended the good throw and were again yelled at for not being supportive.

What game was it in the 1990s where they used a helicopter to dry the field? For some reason I am thinking vs. Idaho in '96. Anyone remember for sure?

Re: This looks fun
I remember they started to clear some of the snow and it left a foot tall mound of snow near the hashes so they had to delay the game.
I love watching in the snow. The rain when it 30-40 degrees is miserable, but put the on some layers and warm clothes and it’s better than the CSU game last year. I love a snow game when they are out there clearing off the yard lines and hash marks.

I seem to recall Fresno beating Boise in a snowstorm once, it gets cold at night in FresNO, they will have no problem with this.

This was the last time my wife went to a USU Football game in Logan with me. She'll go to road games still but not to Logan.

Re: This looks fun
We were outscored 31-0 in the second half of that game. The people criticizing you must have been parents. No other fan could have had a problem with criticizing that. I am actually surprised there were fans close enough to you to criticize. My section completely abandoned the team other than may be 15 people.cdaAg wrote: ↑November 14th, 2020, 10:10 amThat Hawaii game was a tough one.
