Re: Fire Gary
That is certainly more accurate than him getting fired. He isn't getting fired anytime soon, but he does have a habit of leaving when things aren't going his way. Out of the 4 programs he has coached, USU was the only program he left on a high note.

Re: Fire Gary
Not yet. It will be like that if we are get beat by Nevada like this. SDSU has an elite defense and Boise State is a great program. We were not going to win these two games this year. We still need to see more games to fully judge our team. Let's wait until the Nevada game before we do.

I appreciate you being level headed. Our schedule to open up did this team no favors.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑October 31st, 2020, 10:24 pmNot yet. It is brutal for sure. We close with New Mexico, Air Force and Colorado State. Our fanbase would be singing a different tune right now if that was our starting schedule. I'm not saying this year won't be bad, but these two games were never going to be Ws this year.slcagg wrote: ↑October 31st, 2020, 10:27 pmI appreciate you being level headed. Re: Fire Gary
Why was SDSU considered a loss? We beat them last year, in San Diego. I can see Boise, but SDSU isn’t some great team that we shouldn’t be able to beat. This team is a joke and this game is just showing that Gary made no changes to the defense. Still can’t tackle or get pressure. It’s embarrassing.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote:It is brutal for sure. Re: Fire Gary
All those Aztec dudes are bigger and faster in pretty much every position, we got pushed around.
I noticed that watching them warm up. Sorta had some deja vu of the old days. Empty stadium with a physically over matched Team. I think we’ll be decent next season.

Why will we be decent next season? I cannot comprehend this perspective with the coaching and current talent level of the team. What is the thinking here? What incoming recruits or guys in the program are going to help us against the “bigger and faster dudes” that we are seeing?Machismo wrote: ↑October 31st, 2020, 10:50 pmAll those Aztec dudes are bigger and faster in pretty much every position, we got pushed around.

Not trying to be a negative nancy, but I am just not seeing what you are seeing here.

maybe even a few BYU grad transfers. Nothing says foundation for success than a stable full of your in state rivals leftovers.

I think most of Gary’s young friends at the U will have aged out after this year. What happens when we run out of U reject band-aids?TrueBlueAggie123 wrote: ↑October 31st, 2020, 10:56 pmGary will bring in a couple more Utah rejects and all will be well.ineptimusprime wrote:Why will we be decent next season? Re: Fire Gary
Yep. This only gets better when Gary gets gone and is replaced with someone that can walk into a kid’s home and have some credibility. GA has perma-pissed away his recruiting credibility with the way he left here, Wisconsin, and especially OSU.Stockypoo2212 wrote: ↑October 31st, 2020, 11:01 pmineptimusprime wrote: ↑October 31st, 2020, 10:59 pmI think most of Gary’s young friends at the U will have aged out after this year. Re: Fire Gary
I honestly can’t think of one thing he’s done since coming back that has made us a better team or program than under Wells (and I wasn’t ever a big fan of Wells). At this point I don’t feel any confidence in Gary.

You are dumb. We lost to 2 top 25 teams... We are Utah State... Understanding that fact might help you. We are never going to be top 25 year in and year out... EVER.... IN ANY SPORT.... EVER.

Re: Fire Gary
Maybe if we can grab one or two more guys from P5 schools who were not good enough to play their position so they were converted to another position we can return this team to relevancy.
Re: Fire Gary
I guess we will find out on Thursday what the next excuse is after we get beat handily by Nevada? But maybe we will make them look like a top 25 team too?

Gary disagrees with you both from the SL Trib:

I agree to an extent. There is serious cause for concern already, but if Nevada also beats us by 20+ and the offense remains abysmal, the wheels are officially off.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑October 31st, 2020, 11:58 pmNevada will be a better team to compare ourselves against than the two teams we opened with.Agzrule wrote: ↑October 31st, 2020, 11:53 pmI guess we will find out on Thursday what the next excuse is after we get beat handily by Nevada?
Also, talk about a terrible week to have a short prep week. The week of the election and coming off playing both of the teams picked to win their divisions. Was the MW purposefully trying to sabotage us?
