I don't think Andy Koch's Dad would care much.

Maybe we are scheduling BYU this year In lieu of UNM?

I have a daughter who does the covid19 testing for USU for 2 or 3 days of the week. Today she said the test results were up to almost 20%. So there is a definite increase on campus.

NO, DONT schedule them THIS year. And I am not even normally a defeatist to accept that we are going to lose to them, but we would lose badly to them this year.

In the 2000's, prior to the breakthrough in 2010, Some posters would argue that we needed to quit scheduling BYU, basically conceding they were a guaranteed loss and another money game. I was NOT one of those posters and disagreed with that mentality. But I am in the camp of not scheduling them THIS year. If a player's dad is hoping we don't schedule them, that should be enough to say don't schedule them. Even the 2006 team, as bad as they were, expected to beat them but just got the reality check.

Is anyone else on my side on both counts in that they can honestly say there were NOT in the camp of wave the white flag in the 2000's but do say not to schedule them, or is everyone else against scheduling them this year ALSO amongst those that were wanting to pull the plug last decade?

San Diego State landed in Logan at 4, so I would imagine the game is still on.

If the positivity rate is 20% on campus, it is time to send the students home. If this keeps up there will be no football or basketball. Wear a damn mask.

20% or whatever the rate is just means the percent of the people that go get tested cause of feeling symptoms or a contact of someone infected, not ALL the students

Not surprising the rate is high. Based on my experience college kids don’t get tested unless they are pretty sure they have it. Even then many won’t bother if their symptoms are mild.

As a student, All the students I know that have been tested only did so because they had to. Either they had symptoms or were exposed by a roommate/classmate etc. I imagine that would explain the high rate.

Yep, we’re staying at the same hotel and have run across several of their players. Wearing USU gear, I got a few “go Aggies” from them.

I’m aware of what the positivity rate means. 20% is terrible. Many hospitals in Utah are at capacity.... in October.

Supposedly there was an emergency meeting yesterday about not having fans today. In the end it was decided damned if we do damned if we don't. I'm going to enjoy attending this one cause fans in the future is not a given.
