Re: Revisit the depth chart
I guess one of the things I hadn't considered is how a 7 or 8 game season impacts a redshirt.
You could keep guys under 5 games a lot easier, and save a season for JG or EN at running back by splitting their games.

I think we need a new roster before knowing what to expect. It sounds like there's a handful of guys that have moved on (like Compton, Mack, etc.).

I wonder if Compton is still on campus and still would play in the fall?
I also think we could have some guys decide not to play because of the virus.

Hasn't it been determined that this is a Mulligan year for everybody, regardless of how much they play?

Re: Revisit the depth chart
Yes, everyone's eligibility is frozen for this season so it doesn't matter. Also, I do recall a few players stating that they were opting out of the season prior to the conference cancellation. I wonder if they would still opt out now? I believe one of them at the time was Scarver.
EDIT: newhouse beat me to it.

Great write up! I hope Scarver can step it up this year, otherwise, we're undersized at the Z position. Also, wondering if Duncan will play outside or inside? Excited for his potential.

Re: Revisit the depth chart
All eligibility is frozen. All players can play in as many games as possible and it will not affect their status in regards to losing a year of participation.

Meitzenheimer has the best linebacker name since Busta and McNutt.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Next year will be super interesting assuming Warren and DMC are back again. Maybe then you only play the two "freshman" 4 games each and preserve another year of eligibility! Very unlikely but technically possible, I guess?

From what I understand, Devontae Henry-Cole is leaning toward returning for the 2021 season.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑September 23rd, 2020, 4:36 pmNext year will be super interesting assuming Warren and DHC are back again. The scenario you presented is very possible.

Scarver has been dressed and participating at the practices. Pretty sure he will be playing. Also saw Marcus Moore out there which was good to see. Devante Henry Cole has some serious quickness -- can't wait to see him in a game

Shelley and Peasly are getting the most reps. They both have some inconsistencies. then throw into coverage or throw short on the deep passes.. The team is practicing three times a week that will change if the MW gives the go-ahead. Players are practicing with helmets and shoulder pads,
It is interesting that there is no support staff on the field. Players are responsible for there own water water jugs- no watergirls/boys on the field.

Any young guys standing out? Gary mentioned Broc lane and John gentry last week on his weekly 1280 show.AGGIEFIGHT wrote: ↑September 24th, 2020, 10:16 amShelley and Peasly are getting the most reps. They both have some inconsistencies. They make some very good throws andAggie84025 wrote: ↑September 23rd, 2020, 9:36 pmHas it been full contact or just drills with helmets? How does Shelley look?AGGIEFIGHT wrote: ↑September 23rd, 2020, 8:52 pmScarver has been dressed and participating at the practices. Pretty sure he will be playing. Also saw Marcus Moore out there which was good to see. Devante Henry Cole has some serious quickness -- can't wait to see him in a game
then throw into coverage or throw short on the deep passes.. The team is practicing three times a week that will change if the MW gives the go-ahead. Players are practicing with helmets and shoulder pads,
It is interesting that there is no support staff on the field. Players are responsible for there own water water jugs- no watergirls/boys on the field.

Re: Revisit the depth chart
I'm anxious to hear reports, hopefully from some of the Insiders about how the offense looks with the new coordinator and new offense will be running as well as a defense returning to the 3/4.

A little worried about a lack of size on the defensive front. Can anyone help be feel better?

I can make you feel worse. I've got a cousin who is cousin's with a major DL player. I won't name him, but, the player told my cousin that he hasn't been conditioning much all summer because the season was cancelled due to COVID. I wonder how many other players neglected their conditioning?

Re: Revisit the depth chart
They've been doing workouts since the first of September. The season wasn't $hit canned until early August so if he wasn't putting in his off-season work all summer, he wouldn't have been ready for fall camp in August anyway. Whoever the dude is had 30 days to get his $hit together.BLUERUFiO wrote: ↑September 25th, 2020, 10:28 amI can make you feel worse. I've got a cousin who is cousin's with a major DL player.
