We need to replace the lost revenue from the Washington and Washington State games somehow.TrueBlueAggie123 wrote: ↑July 23rd, 2020, 4:49 pmIf the MW decides to play a normal schedule, do we think USU would look at the Big 12, SEC, ACC for a couple games to replace the games we lost? John Hartwell mentioned on the Aggies All The Way podcast today that they are looking at all options. UNLV got a game with TCU to start the season so I think it would be nice if the Aggies could pick up a couple games against some big name opponents.
That’s what I’m thinking. Hopefully other conferences don’t go only conference games. Texas Tech would be a fun matchup. They have an opening on the 19th, same as Utah State.aggies22 wrote:We need to replace the lost revenue from the Washington and Washington State games somehow.TrueBlueAggie123 wrote: ↑July 23rd, 2020, 4:49 pmIf the MW decides to play a normal schedule, do we think USU would look at the Big 12, SEC, ACC for a couple games to replace the games we lost? We might as well.TrueBlueAggie123 wrote: ↑July 23rd, 2020, 6:27 pmThat’s what I’m thinking. Hopefully other conferences don’t go only conference games. Texas Tech would be a fun matchup. I think Matt would steer clear of that one. But that would be fun and somewhat winnable although much less money I would assume and would think it wouldn’t fill the full gap left by Washington.aggies22 wrote: ↑July 23rd, 2020, 6:33 pmWe might as well.TrueBlueAggie123 wrote: ↑July 23rd, 2020, 6:27 pmThat’s what I’m thinking. Like I stated here, viewtopic.php?f=4&t=53802 , it’s all the more reason for usu to schedule a game on Saturday, sept 6. There’s potential for it to be a feature game and draw huge tv ratings.ViAggie wrote: ↑July 23rd, 2020, 12:04 pmInteresting - https://www.deseret.com/sports/2020/7/2 ... -september
I agree, people are starving for football to get their minds off all the issues we are facing. Baseball and nba dont move the needle for me, but college football is where it is at.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑July 26th, 2020, 5:33 pmLike I stated here, viewtopic.php?f=4&t=53802 , it’s all the more reason for usu to schedule a game on Saturday, sept 6. It’ll be weird for them when they start camp on Thursday, I’ll wager.deltaaggie wrote: ↑August 2nd, 2020, 2:00 pmI've heard that the entire O-line has been quarantined and most of the players dont think that there will be a season at this point.
