thought it deserved it's own thread.

Also, when will the MWC announce the same?

Re: PAC-12 makes it official - Conf. only games
I just got a notice that says CIF is pushing the FB season to a late August start date, no organized practices or activities until then. I'm guessing HS FB in CA is gonzo this year.

I'm curious, if the MW goes to conference only will we pick up games from San Jose, UNLV, or Hawaii?

In short, yes. My guess though, is Hawaii is out this season. Just a hunch based on how locked down the state is.aceofspadeskb wrote: ↑July 13th, 2020, 11:24 amI'm curious, if the MW goes to conference only will we pick up games from San Jose, UNLV, or Hawaii?

So glad I don't live there, A 5x better chance of my kid dying from the flu he got from school than covid.Yossarian wrote: ↑July 13th, 2020, 1:15 pmLos Angeles and San Diego school districts just announced they will not re-open schools in the fall

It's not your kid you have to worry about, it's your kid spreading it to his/her teacher, his/her peers, you, your wife, your parents, aunts, uncles, etc. Remember, Covid-19 is TEN TIMES more infectious than the flu! Also, C-19 has no "season" unlike the flu does (thrives in cool, moist air, covid doesn't seem to care about the temperature so much).Machismo wrote: ↑July 13th, 2020, 2:03 pmSo glad I don't live there, A 5x better chance of my kid dying from the flu he got from school than covid.Yossarian wrote: ↑July 13th, 2020, 1:15 pmLos Angeles and San Diego school districts just announced they will not re-open schools in the fall

Not according to Europe, where they don't have a single report of a parent getting it from a kid.ViAggie wrote: ↑July 13th, 2020, 3:00 pmIt's not your kid you have to worry about, it's your kid spreading it to his/her teacher, his/her peers, you, your wife, your parents, aunts, uncles, etc. Remember, Covid-19 is TEN TIMES more infectious than the flu! You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Source? I'd be interested in reading about it, but I can't find it on Google.USU78 wrote: ↑July 13th, 2020, 3:53 pmNot according to Europe, where they don't have a single report of a parent getting it from a kid.ViAggie wrote: ↑July 13th, 2020, 3:00 pmIt's not your kid you have to worry about, it's your kid spreading it to his/her teacher, his/her peers, you, your wife, your parents, aunts, uncles, etc. Remember, Covid-19 is TEN TIMES more infectious than the flu! I think 78 may be referring to the Iceland study I posted in the Sandbox.aceofspadeskb wrote: ↑July 13th, 2020, 4:28 pmSource? Re: PAC-12 makes it official - Conf. only games
Article here on current mantra for: FBS/FCS/D2-3 conferences......
I am new to the MW conference; since down in AZ its about the Pac-12 teams (and unfortunately a lot of BYU fans!) lol but I do hope leadership takes a stand and re-schedules with MW foes....and this all gets done! I do know 100%; the players want to compete and are flexible with any modifying that must incur...and yes safety is paramount but dang it sure seems something can be figured out.....
