Go Raiders! Just win, baby! Why every Aggie should be a Raiders fan

Post by travelingagg » July 10th, 2020, 5:35 pm

The Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is closer to Logan—and the rest of the Wasatch Front—than any other NFL stadium.

Utah State has more players on the Raiders’ roster than every university in the U.S. outside of Clemson. It also has almost as many as the rest of the MWC combined. There are more Utah State players on the Raiders’ roster than the national playoff championship game participants LSU and Clemson combined. Utah State has more players playing on the raiders than the combined total of players from the nation’s top three most funded athletic departments (Texas, Texas A&M, and Ohio State) with revenues that exceeded $637M in 2017-2018.

They could have 53 Aggies on their roster and I would never, not for a nanosecond, wish the Raiders well. I hope they go 0-16 each and every year unless they beat the Chiefs.

I literally base my nfl fandom off of Utah state players, so I’m officially a raiders fan. Been a Seahawks fan for a few years now.

The group that I went to the basketball tournament with have decided that we will see a Raiders game. The stadium looks great. I think it will be a fun thing to do.

If Utah actually had a team I'm sure I would be a fan. Since we don't I enjoy watching great players make great plays. I always try and watch games that have our Aggies playing in them.

I love that the Raiders have alot of Aggies, but the Raiders broke my heart when they left Oakland. I'll follow them like you would an ex, because our relationship is different now. I'll try not to give the NFL any of my money, but I'm sure at some point I'll be in that stadium

Feel bad for the fans in Oakland but the Raiders are much bigger than a city. Glad they finally have a stadium. It was badly needed and progresses team forward.

No problems with Carlson but I REALLY want to see Dom win the kicking job.

First I would cheer for the Packers as they are the only publicly-owned, not-for-profit, major league professional team in US pro sports.

Tipa Galeai Green Bay Packers
Jordan Love Green Bay Packers

Then on I would cheer for specific players I really like watching.

Bobby Wagner Seattle Seahawks

Kyler Fackrell New York Giants

Darwin Thompson Kansas City Chiefs

Nick Vigil Los Angeles Chargers

And the rest because they are Aggies! :-)

Dallin Leavitt Las Vegas Raiders
Dominik Eberle Las Vegas Raiders
Nevin Lawson Las Vegas Raiders
Siaosi Mariner Las Vegas Raiders

Patrick Scales Chicago Bears

Jalen Davis Arizona Cardinals

Jalen Greene Los Angeles Rams

Tyler Larsen Carolina Panthers

Caleb Repp Atlanta Falcons

I somehow dropped Wagner in the editing phase of preparing the post. He is my favorite to watch - very embarrassing mistake! Thanks for catching it.

Hope the Aggie players do well just as long as the Raiders finish behind the Broncos.

Getting released this early makes me wonder why they even signed him in the first place? Crazy Jon Gruden.

It is a little strange. Teams play strategic games releasing players then re-signing them. On the bright side, I think the Raiders let Dallin Leavitt leave rookie camp unsigned, they called him back, and he ended up on the roster
