It was pretty cool that Chuckie and Kerwynn were on twitter reminiscing about the game.

I understand why you want the game to return, but how many games should be scheduled with school with much more budget dollars than what we have, and yet expect winning seasons ?

those scared Red-tailed chickens, they will go to Wyoming, but not to Logan. that is the hang up, they won't do a home and home, which is stupid!!

i can understand Northern California more than Laramie or Dekalb, IL, that is where the recruiting is, even though they are already going to Berkeley and Palo Alto. Whatever, I would rather we have a great winning team then play that rivalry game.

1 per season in addition to our money game. If you disagree, you are suggesting that the home and home with Washington State was a bad idea. I think most fans are excited about that agreement (although Covid-19 will ruin some of the value of the home game this year--but no one could have predicted that when we scheduled the series).

Play Utah, YBU and a revenue game gives you most years, 3 losses before you even start conference play. Of course with 1 win over BSU since we joined the conference that looks like 4 very hard games every season.ususports wrote: ↑June 19th, 2020, 4:58 pm1 per season in addition to our money game. Re: USU athletics showing the 2012 Utah game on Facebook
Our past rivalry football games with Utah are over for the foreseeable future which is sad for us AGGIES. The reality is that Utah now has millions more for coaching salaries, coach retention and recruiting than we have at Utah State. Utah also has the allure of recruiting to the PAC 12 and the esteem that conference offers. PAC 12 vs MWC dollars are so unequal, and this separation is so real.
Yes, it's in our face when the Utes travel to Laramie, Fresno or San Jose, but that's how things are. There are many times I yearn for the old SKYLINE CONFERENCE alignment. Ah, the days.

Maybe you haven’t noticed, but we have been beating BYU half of the time recently, so it is no longer an automatic loss like you implied (even split over the past six years). Additionally, it has been said by our AD that if we were to play Utah in the future, we would try to avoid playing BYU in the same year. In my opinion, anytime you can get a home and home with a P5 team, you take it (which is hypothetical in this situation as Utah has no desire to play us).oleblu111 wrote: ↑June 19th, 2020, 5:45 pmPlay Utah, YBU and a revenue game gives you most years, 3 losses before you even start conference play. Re: USU athletics showing the 2012 Utah game on Facebook
That is true with BYU over the last six years, however when they change coach's or join a conference that most likely will go back to what it was when we lost I believe 17 in a row to them, Lets hope that does not happen again, but there is no comparison in program resources,. The point is mute because the UTES have no desire or need to play USU. Of course our record with BSU or SDS is not all that great so we do need to be cautious about to difficult of a schedule. Fans always want a tough schedule until they lose.ususports wrote: ↑June 19th, 2020, 6:32 pmMaybe you haven’t noticed, but we have been beating BYU half of the time recently, so it is no longer an automatic loss like you implied (even split over the past six years). Re: USU athletics showing the 2012 Utah game on Facebook
Since the Utah rivalry games ended, the only year I would’ve been confident in our chances was 2018. But still, I would love to have home and homes with them. P5 team in Logan plus plenty of local interest. It was fun having all three teams compete against each other in 2012 and 2013.ususports wrote: ↑June 19th, 2020, 6:32 pmMaybe you haven’t noticed, but we have been beating BYU half of the time recently, so it is no longer an automatic loss like you implied (even split over the past six years). Also, there’s absolutely no excuse that we’re not playing each other in basketball. But that’s a whole different subject.
