Washington 9/19 kickoff time?
Any ideas on when they announce the kickoff time? I want to start planning a trip up there in the event they actually let fans in during the game. Hopefully this isn't like the LSU game with an announcement only a couple weeks before for an 11am kickoff.

It's all TV driven. Don't expect an announcement until a couple of weeks before.

Considering we are still waiting to see if the college football season will be played in full and start on time, specific kick off times is probably the last thing on decision makers minds right now.

Sorry to be the pessimist. Covid 19 wins this game. There's no way Wazzu makes the trip to Logan, risking exposure to play Utah State.

I believe they are talking about the University of Washington road game.aceofspadeskb wrote: ↑May 30th, 2020, 11:37 amSorry to be the pessimist. Covid 19 wins this game. There's no way Wazzu makes the trip to Logan, risking exposure to play Utah State.

Yeah I'm still pessimistic as well; at least with fans. I would be very surprised if the season goes on business as usual with fans cramming 80,000 seat stadiums. If games are played it will either be without fans or with regulations on how many fans can be in the stadium. I could also see something where there are fewer games.aceofspadeskb wrote: ↑May 30th, 2020, 11:37 amSorry to be the pessimist. Covid 19 wins this game. We'll see. I would love normalcy and everything getting back to the way things were, but I have my doubts that we are 3 months away from that.

We SHOULD know in July. The first 3 weeks are all announced preseason, usually in May although last week it was announced that due to Covid decisions would be deferred until at least July. From week 4 on the 13 and 6 day determinations start to come into play.ProvoAggie wrote:It's all TV driven. Don't expect an announcement until a couple of weeks before.

There has been a major spike in cases here the last couple weeks, including 198 today alone. There will be no game unless they get this cleaned up.

Don't get yourself worked up about case numbers. Watch the stats for hospitalizations and deaths.

Not to mention that the cases have mostly been a superspreader event in one meat packing plant. If you are going to have a high case load, it is best that health officials can target where and when it happened. A dispersed infection base would have been worse, logistically speaking.brownjeans wrote: ↑June 5th, 2020, 6:53 pmDon't get yourself worked up about case numbers.
