Possibly the coldest division in football. But Green Bay is an excellent organization.

An organization that knows how to develop quarterbacks! He'll be tutored and prepared before he takes the reins.

I'm so excited for him to learn from Aaron Rodgers and also play with Kyler Fackrell!

For sure the coldest division, but 2 of them are also in domes. Just so happy for Jordan.

I heard rodgers hates when they bring in QBs and refuses to teach them.

Probably not true at all but I'm pissed he went to my least favorite team.

Have to disagree, he is very raw and needs a year or 2 to learn, then look out NFL.

I agree, this is a great situation for him. He get's first round money and literally has no pressure while Rodgers plays for the next few seasons. He will have every opportunity to soak everything in without the pressure of leading a team.

Perfect landing spot.
Love that GB traded up for him and Love that he gets to watch AR for a couple of years.
Packers tend to draft QBs very well.

He's old now. He's got to see that and train up his replacement.

Only better spots would have been Saints, Chargers, Pats or maybe Raiders. This is the best spot for his development behind Rodgers though, but we will see if he's cut out to throw in late season GB snow/cold games. He's got time to adjust to it now

Hopefully, he doesn't get too much hate from Packers fan. It looks like pretty much every fan wanted a receiver at this pick.

Yeah on the post on Packers insta of JLove, everyone is flaming Packers for drafting Love. They wanted a WR.

I can understand on how they would feel like that. They wanted a player that is going to make an impact right now. Aaron is still the man so Jordan won't be called on for probably 2 years.

I love that he isn't being thrown into a struggling organization. Also, he will sit behind one of the GOATs. Plus if anything happens to Rodgers, Love is the next guy. The backups for Packers right now are Tim Boyle and Manny Wilkins. Yeah I have never heard of them either...

Of course Packer fans hate the pick. They are in win now mode and this pick is a rebuild pick . I don’t think it is anything against Love personally, they just thought they could get some help for Rogers to make another run instead of trading up for his replacement. I think I would be a bit upset if I were them too.

Love it! Great situation for him to learn under Aaron Rodgers for a couple of years before being thrust into the full-time role. Congrats Jordan!

Super excited for Jordan! I agree with S17vk that I am most impressed that Green Bay traded up in the draft to pick him as their first pick!

I think it’s a great situation for Love, I thought for sure he would land in New Orleans, but the Packers played it perfectly. Jordans story is absolutely amazing. Good for him. :utah: :state:

Here is the question...will Love be #10 on the Packers? It looks like Darrius Shepard, a WR is already #10 on the offense...

Packers fans will be glad they have a difference maker sitting behind Rogers if he gets injured rather than the two clowns backing him up now. Good organization that builds team for long term success.

Favre I think went to Atlanta, but was in Green Bay his second year. That’s pretty much all of his career in one place.

Yep. As a packer fan I hate the pick. They just gave up any chance of catching the saints or niners next year. And Rodgers will never win another super bowl.

Seems to be a lot of disappointment from Packers fans. This was posted on Twitter and was probably the best assessment I've read so far:

I agree, pretty much his whole career. When I think about Favre, it's him as a packer. But that's not what he said, he said they tend to draft QBs very well and they don't.

I am happy for Jordan and I hope he does well. I hope that when he gets his shot, the packers do a better job of surrounding him with talent than what they've done for Rodgers. I'm a Bears fan and even I think it's a shame that someone as talented as Rodgers hasn't been given more talent around him. It shows how outstanding of a player he is. And with his closing window, they did it again, by drafting his replacement instead of more skill positions. Just saw on ESPN that the last skill position player drafted in the first round by Green Bay was Rodgers himself. That's horrible and probably cost the team more chances at championships throughout his career.

Suspect a fair amount of the cold weather failures could be on the receivers he had to work with in 2019. I don't recall such a cold weather under performance label during the 2018 season when Jordan had better receivers to work with, and a much more able "O" line.

The first round is intended for guys that you are building a franchise around.

If you are so desperate for WRs even though no one else after you picked a WR- and can’t find someone in the 2nd round or free agency
Then:

A.) you aren’t a championship contender
B.) you should trade out of the 1st round and get 2-3 picks to build your support core.

Packers fans are notorious for getting their panties in a bunch for trading out of Rd1. So instead they would rather pick a WR that wasn’t picked by any of the other guys in Rd1 after.

But using the first round to plug holes instead of build the team is a disgrace. Flat out disgrace. Plug holes in other rounds or sign a free agent.

There is still WR talent left. Many of the best WRa in the NFL today aren’t first round picks.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
