Re: Interview with RB signing John Gentry
Thanks a bunch for doing this. I'm in quite disbelief right now that he basically had offers from Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma st, etc. and chose USU because of the great collaborative effort from everyone. What an awesome job the coaching staff did.

Thanks for posting! What an interview...he certainly is not a terse young man. Really excited for him to be an Aggie great.
So refreshing to see someone who can really express himself rather than spout the usual cliches.

I LOVE THIS DUDE!! Great work by both 22 and Gentry. This man seems like a thoughtful and driven young man that will succeed in both life and football! He actually took the time to answer every question thoroughly and had some great answers. Can't wait to watch this guy in an Aggie uniform!
Side Note - Just saw on the side that this is my 1000 post on the message board! Thought I would celebrate it a little bit....

Re: Interview with RB signing John Gentry
Solid interview with a very promising player. Sounds like John has his head on straight and has experience at a number of positions. Impressed that the schools in the SEC and the U were so interested in John. Gary and his staff gave ihis recruiting a strong shot and they prevailed. I would trust this young man will blossom as a player and benefit from his education at Utah State. Thank you for a very stimulating interview....I'm excited to see John wear Navy Blue and White.

I am hoping I hit 2,000 before the end of 2020. That will require about 3-4 posts a day though...aggies22 wrote: ↑February 27th, 2020, 5:32 pmThank you for your contribution to the board my Aggie brother!ThunderAggie wrote: ↑February 27th, 2020, 4:30 pmI LOVE THIS DUDE!! Wow. This guy is the real deal. This is probably the best interview from any of our recruits. Really excited to see what happens!

What a great sounding kid!
22, you must love that you were able to get more than one word/one sentence responses for once!
Love his future, and love how this coaching staff goes about its coaching recruiting business. Doing it the right way.
Super excited to see JG in the MAV in 2020!

Re: Interview with RB signing John Gentry
It will be real interesting to see the friendly competition between Gentry and Noa. Glad we got them both as they are both pretty versatile. Noa seems to be great at being patient and finding the seams and has a bit more wiggle to him, but Gentry has breakaway speed and is a terrific pass catcher as well. Once he gets through the line he is gone.
Jaylen will surely be our bell cow heading into the season. Had he not gotten injured last season I think he would have been the lead back ahead of Bright. We still need another scholarship back in the rb unit and it'd be great if we got a grad transfer or stud juco rb to round out the group but even if we have to lean heavy on these two freshman, I think we'll be ok. Kudos to the coaching staff for landing them both.

There have definitely been some kids that have been more talkative than others. John is certainly not shy! He was one of my best interviews ever!Sl7vk wrote: ↑February 27th, 2020, 7:57 pmWhat a great sounding kid!

Roy McAvoy is now going to (I can't express myself without swearing) and moan and be mad at me for derailing a good thread. My apologies in advance.USU78 wrote: ↑February 28th, 2020, 11:37 amCan't ... mustn't ... but ...
