Re: Recruiting
Chaz Ah You, bougar linebacker, charged with DUI. Fair chance he transfers. Problem is, with him sitting out 2018 and playing in 2017 & 2019, he may have only one year to give. Worth the risk for a thirty something tackles guy that's not a significant sack threat?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Re: Recruiting
After playing as a true freshman in 2017 he left on his mission in Jan of 2018, returned in October of 2018 for medical reasons (or in others words after serving a standard BYU athletic term) and enrolled back at BYU in Jan. of 2019 and played football again last season. He has a redshirt left to use as a transfer and then 2 to play 2.USU78 wrote: ↑February 12th, 2020, 4:06 pmChaz Ah You, bougar linebacker, charged with DUI. Fair chance he transfers. He is a guy that would fill the Rocquemore S-LB hybrid type position well.
Although with his father on staff I have to believe BYU will quickly sweep this one under the rug...unlike the dude that got suspended from their team for the entire season last year for the same offense.

Re: Recruiting
I fully expect BYU to work with Ah You on this one. He’ll probably sit out of football and school for a while and then be back on the team.

It's not. But clearly other schools get away with stuff like that. We'd get the death penalty.

What are our chances in landing Rachaad White? There seems to be some confidence that it will happen. If he does commit, would he be a push forward and be here this summer?

IF Rachaad chooses to sign with Utah State, while time is running out, there is still a limited opportunity for him to enroll in time to attend classes this semester.Agzrule wrote: ↑February 14th, 2020, 12:20 amSpring ball? Re: Recruiting
So with the February signing day over can teams with remaining scholarships available sign a recruit at any time or are there restrictions?

Re: Recruiting
No restrictions as far as accepting an LOI from a recruit. The signing period is open until April 1st if I remember correctly.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑February 16th, 2020, 6:38 pmSo with the February signing day over can teams with remaining scholarships available sign a recruit at any time or are there restrictions?

Re: Recruiting
I had to re-read the "...worth the risk for a thirty something tackles guy..." a few times as I simply assumed he was in his early thirties and playing ball for Byu-Provo.USU78 wrote: ↑February 12th, 2020, 4:06 pmChaz Ah You, bougar linebacker, charged with DUI. Re: Recruiting
Any update on Rachaad White? I am thinking the more time that passes, the less likely it is that he ends up an Aggie. I believe BSU and Hawaii have also offered him.

Good work 22
Also heard that their is one more JC player that we are waiting on. Coaches will know by the end of next week whether he is coming. I am assuming he would have to receive his winter quarter grades and then be cleared by the NCAA clearinghouse
