Tipa is interesting. I think he could make a roster as a 3rd down specialist and special teamer. He suffers from the same problem Fack has had in the pros as an every down rusher but he has so much finesse talent that he can give tacklers fits when he can take a pass rush angle and just pin his ears back.
I think he really got demoralized with what he was asked to do. By putting his hand down and getting close to the tackle he really couldn't do his finesse stuff and in no way could he squeeze and maintain contain doing it. It kind of led to a loss of confidence all around. Then when the Aggies did go with a 3 man front they used him in coverage rather than an edge rusher a lot of times. He just looked lost.
Be interesting to see his combine numbers. He has tremendous quickness and hand speed along with the long stride to get to the QB after his move. I think someone will take a shot at him if he tests well.
Two or three kickers get drafted every year. Dom Eberle should absolutely be one of those guys.
Career stats at USU
167/167 extra points
24/27 FG < 30
17/19 FG 30-39
19/28 FG 40-49
4/7 FG > 50
Eberle has been an amazing kicker for us. I hope he gets a shot in the NFL. But the fact that former Ute kicker Andy Phillips isn’t kicking in the NFL for someone has me worried that Dom won’t get a fair shot. I still can’t figure out how Matt Gay has an NFL job and Phillips doesn’t.

Yeah I have zero clue how kickers are evaluated in the NFL which is why I didn't list him as getting drafted. Seems more about what team will give you a try-out when their kicker sucks.

You would think kickers would be the easiest by just saying go kick and let’s see who puts the ball between those two giant sticks the most and they get the job.
