Tedford out in Fresno
Tedford out in Fresno
Stepping down due to health concerns per the twitters, I'd probably be scared for my health if I lived on Fresno as well.
Add Fresno to the list along with UNLV, Colorado St, and New Mexico as MW schools looking for new coaches

Re: Tedford out in Fresno
Appears this season was tough on MWC head football coaches. Coach Tedford stepping down in Fresno has to be a blow to that program, if nothing else, a break in continuity.....which won't break my heart at all.

All we need is for somebody to swoop in a hire Harsin away.

What would that do? Harsin is the only Boise State coach USU has won against in the past 21 years. Dan Hawkins was undefeated against USU, and so was Chris Petersen. Changing coaches does not seem to dampen their success.

That is actually how he got Darell Garretson, who was committed to San Jose State until Mike Macintyre left.JFW_AGGIES wrote: ↑December 6th, 2019, 5:19 amWell it would defiantly open the door for us to swoop in a take some recruits.

I’d love to get both those guys. Need replacements for DJ & Haney at CB and Repp at TE.ThunderAggie wrote:Perhaps these guys who also have offers from us....GameFAQSAggie wrote: ↑December 6th, 2019, 7:20 amThat is actually how he got Darell Garretson, who was committed to San Jose State until Mike Macintyre left.JFW_AGGIES wrote: ↑December 6th, 2019, 5:19 amWell it would defiantly open the door for us to swoop in a take some recruits.

Dirk Koetter- Dan Hawkins - Chris Petersen - Kirby Harsin
Boise State has a winning established program that has won a ton of games regardless of who is the coach. Harsin is a step down from Petersen, but still averages 10 wins a year. If Harsin left I doubt Boise State would take much of a hit.

Re: Tedford out in Fresno
Mountain West coaches dropping like flies. Yeah Boise does seem to have something going no matter who the coach is. What's their secret?
Will Petersen come back to the MW?
Also to the OP, I am a little scared about my health living in Logan. Air quality sucks.

He could be a real nice fit at CSU. I hope is not pursuing him doesn’t come back to haunt us.Jjoey53 wrote:1 of those jobs wil go to Jay Hill, which will be a thorn in USU’s flesh.

CSU will go after a bigger name. I don't know that Jay would take any of the other jobs. He wants Utah or USU

CSU will look for another SEC assistant. I don’t think Jay Hill would be considered there, but he would be a great fit and could be successful.

Not sure why you think this. Everything I've heard has them looking regionally or for someone with CSU ties.

Re: Tedford out in Fresno
Harsin is also the only Boise State coach USU faced after we got our program turned around and were regularly winning against anyone New Mexico State. We didn't win against many other teams either while the coach was Hawkins and Petersen. Only once did we face Boise State under Petersen while we were a halfway decent team.swordsman1989 wrote: ↑December 6th, 2019, 2:48 amWhat would that do?
