Wyoming game time is 2 pm...is there any way

Post by troutputz » November 5th, 2019, 5:04 pm

We could get Hartwell and the conference to lobby for aq 2 pm start time for the Boise game?
A 8:30 start on November 23, could be very brutal. Actually very dangerous for the players if its -10 or -20 below, which is not unreasonable for CV. Granted it hasn't been that cold for several decades in CV but it still could happen.

Maybe it will snow so much a couple of days before the game that the time of the game will change for fear of cancellation. You know now days they cancel for bad weather, not like the old days when the game was played regardless of the weather!

I'm just waiting for some Aggie fans to find a way to complain about the start time.
Perhaps that's the windiest time of day in Cache Valley?
You watch though, attendance will be poorer than a 7 or 8pm start.

We’ll never know, now will we.

The sun is too bright at that time of day.

Not a chance. It is, of course, at 8:30 pm for tv purposes (CBSSN). Regarding weather, they've moved game times up because of approaching hurricanes, and games are sometimes delayed because of lightning, but they are not changing the time because there is a remote chance it could be -20 degrees....which they knew when they scheduled the 8:30 time and is highly unlikely. NFL teams play in January in the elements, at night if that's what TV wants, so yeah they don't really care about the comfort of the fans.

Poor attendance for this game will not have anything to do with the start time.

Here's the way you get a 2pm start time for the Boise game step by step:
1. Create a new television channel
2. Establish a national television broadcasting network for your channel
3. Pay the MWC more than they currently receive for their broadcast contract
4. Pay all expenses related to the breach of contract for their current broadcast contract.

Easy.

We could also die because a satellite gets hit by an asteroid and caroms into the stadium. That and -10 are about the same possibility.

Anyone who follows this board knows that Trout, being the socialist that he is, is probably talking about -10 in Celsius, which is 14 Fahrenheit. Not out of the realm of possibilities.

I actually read Trout's hypothetical temperatures to be 10 degrees Fahrenheit or 20 degrees Fahrenheit (positive), since "-10 below" and "-20 below" would be synonymous with 10 above and 20 above, right? Classic double negative.
