Zero Defense
Could be the worst defensive display In years. Embarrassing for sure.

I can't remember much worse defense than this one. The game 2 years ago at AF, but this one for me was just demoralizing.

We got two turnovers early, had the stupid offense called in -or even got A first down things could have been different. What more do you want the defense to do? This game was not lost by the defense, it’s just too bad that Woody and Scarver couldn’t save us again.

[I disagree with you on this one. Sure we got the turnovers, but they were moving down the field with no problems and then we were able to get the turnovers. Without those they were going to score touchdowns. Sure the offense was just garbage, but the defensive performance was not much better if any at all. The defense just looked so slow to me out there.]

That drop by Nathan really hurt. It was the first really crisp looking play of the night. Would have been a first down and possibly got the ball moving.
The d especially on the qb and pitchman were disappointing. Someone said this week to hit the qb every play and they were right. Failed to do that all night.

25-5 in the first half in time of possession, I just don’t think any defense can withstand that.

[This is very true, but the defense also has to get some stops as well. AF had the ball on their own 15 after one of the first 2 USU punts. The defense forced them to 3rd and 8 and then they gave up a 40 yard 3rd down run on the dive, that is terrible defense. They then go on to score their first TD of the game.]

Woody looked liked he’d taken a crack from an OL. Saw him shake his head. Hope he doesn’t have any more concussion issues.
On a side note... I feel like Offense and Defense both individually played poorly enough to make it near impossible for the other to have won the game otherwise. In other words..... it was all bad and that’s always on the coaches.

Disappointing to say the least. Especially when the coaching staff talked about how much they prepared for Air Force since spring. It felt like the defense was on their heels from the get-go. It felt like there was little to no preparation for this game. Air Force made us look bad, really bad.

It was a total failure by the team. I hope it is a wake up call, but I doubt it. I just think there is something off right now.

After last night we are for sure not trending up. Hopefully we play inspired this coming week and beat BYU, but right now I am not confident at all. There defense is good and after last night I am concerned with how they will play going forward.
