Which is more likely

Jordan Love staying another year or we winning the rest of our games? Personally I think this is a hard decision but I think love is going to stay another year. Love isn’t having the year he had last year. I think that(hopefully) he will get better and have a tremendous rest of the season. But look how dax Raymond turned out? Or Darwin? Some people had Dax going third and Darwin 5th. Some had them higher. But personally do I think that we can win the rest of our games but it will be damn hard

I'd be shocked if JL comes back for another year. A comparison with Dax and Darwin aren't the same thing either. There is what is said in the media and in press conference by an athlete and by coaches and what's really happening behind the scenes..... that's all I'll say

How often does a consensus 1st or 2nd round QB drop significantly? I am sure it happens but guys projected by some to go in the 3rd rd, especially at fungible positions like RB, dropping is not uncommon, but I think QBs are generally easier to project and a projected 1st or early 2nd rounder falling to say the 4th round is pretty uncommon.

I would say 1% chance Love returns. Without looking at it for sure, next year's QB group is probably weaker. Lawrence will be there but not sure who else. This year seems to be deeper. So maybe he looks at the landscape and thinks next year is better but I doubt it.

If we get this game at AFA I think we will be no worse than a toss up in all remaining games so I would probably give winning out the edge.

I don't think anyone really knew Dax and Darwin much outside of the fans before the combine and draft. Love is becoming a much more recognizable name and already projections in first round. I think teams will fall in love with him at the combine and workouts. I think he is gone and could use a year to develop with NFL coaches and players. I hope he stays, but think it would be best for him to leave and Colombi take over.

“I forbid Jordan Love to come back another year”
-Kevin O’Leary, probably

But in all honesty I hope Love leaves for the NFL. I want him to be successful

I cannot believe a guy who is being projected as a first round draft pick would even consider coming back. Very little, if anything, to gain, and a whole heck of a lot to lose should an injury happen.

I think that is the second time I've seen Tania write that on this board and she has the most in with the team. So she knows something. Can you give us any details of what makes you so confident he is coming back?

I cant do that, but unless something HUGE happens, I'm pretty sure we will see him in an Aggie uniform next season

I would love to see Love another year! Interesting that he may actually come back. Maybe he wants to finish off his education and finish his senior year with the other guys he has played with. Also, like mentioned earlier, the draft class next year is a lot lighter, so maybe he thinks he has a better chance at getting more recognition and getting drafted higher.

Here's this as well.

I think that JLove could really benefit from another year, but I won't hold it against him if he leaves. I'll cheer for him for his entire career.

If Love doesn't turn it around fairly quickly, he's not going first or second or any round. He is statistically near the bottom of FBS QBs right now with hard games ahead of us.

Very interesting. I’m surprised with how little attention your most recent post and the other i read from you about him coming back have received.

I think because it seems so strange to most that he will be back. I think people are waiting to see how the 2nd half of the season goes before they can be confident in their opinion - but I'm pretty sure

Herbert stayed another year at Oregon and that has probably worked out well for him. Another thing about Love is that he's still pretty young. Tua and Herbert are turning 22 this year and Love is turning 21. There is no rush for him to go to the NFL this year.

If his status as a first-round pick has been cemented, I think he would be crazy not to go. The only place to go from the first-round is down.

I am not talking about a guy who has early projections at some point and returns to school and sees his stock plummet. I am talking about a guy who goes through his last year of college football and during the predraft process is a consensus 1 or 2 pick at QB and drops substantially and gets that grade from the NFL advisory committee and drops substantially.

If Love meets the above criteria and leaves he isn't falling out of the second round IMO.

J L has demonstrated he has the physical assets to play on Sunday. Parts of the "O" line, some of his wide outs and certainly a questionable offensive scheme have impacted his production this season. I won't attempt to sort out a number of his just awful passes, but that is a matter for behind the scenes evaluation from the NFL scouts.

TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN IF IT'S OFFERED JORDAN.....Just take the dough and secure your financial well being.

I read an article today, don't remember where it was. The article quoted an NFC East scout who said they were not drafting a qb, but if they were it would be Love. He said, don't worry about the stats, he doesn't have a great surrounding cast, but he is by far the most talented in the draft and can make all the throws.

Allen still had a 16 to 6 td/int ratio his junior year. Love is still underwater in that department.

Still, if the NFL is willing to throw 1st round money at him he should go.

But I also have to believe my eyes. This isn’t just an nfl throw, it’s an elite nfl throw.

This guy has love as his 2nd QB out of this years class but says if he stayed he’d be his QB1 next year over Trevor Lawerence. If you have a chance at being QB1 that means you have a chance of being 1 overall in draft depending on teams needs. I don’t know if they still do the top few picks getting more guaranteed money thing in NFL but that could be a huge reason to stay. Guaranteed money is a big deal in that league.

I agree! Also, if he gets chosen as the third or fourth qb, he would probably end up on a team that somewhat needs him, but not immediately. Then, he may just filter through a few teams and never have a chance in the NFL. If he was a QB1 or 2 next year, he could get on team that really needs him and could start from year 1 or midseason and prove his skill.

When Love eventually moves on, Cooper Legas is going to become the next Chuckie (hopefully without the injuries). There is a reason why Gary contacted him as soon as he returned to coach.
