As fun as playing P5s can be this game is pointless in the grand scene of things. We have very little to gain and everything to lose if we suffer injuries to our starters, especially Love, Bright, Woodward, the Oline and our secondary.
I think we should sit the starters.

Go ahead and flame away, but I hate playing this game mid-season. And losing Warren tonight just strengthened my view.
What is there at risk of losing that you are advocating USU sit its starters and not even try?

That's a loser mentality.

I think you play to win for sure. That means everyone that is healthy plays. If there are guys that are dinged up then I’m fine sitting them. That goes for BYU, Wake, and Stony Brook to. The MW matters the most right now.

[Same for me, you play to win the game. That being said if someone is nursing an injury that an extra week to heal would benefit them then you absolutely sit them. If they are healthy you go out and give your best punch which I know our team will do.]

As logical as it sounds on the surface to rest our best players, keep in mind that it benefits our players when they go up against competition this tough. It’s a fantastic learning experience for everyone. We should play to win and put our best foot forward and pray for no injuries

This is an opportunity of a lifetime for these kids. The aggies should come out guns blazing, have fun, play loose, and let the chips fall where they may. The injury factor is a myth. These guys put their pants on one leg at a time too.

Doing anything other than planning and playing to win undermines the entire attitude Gary instills.

Well, we're down 4 guys now. Hack, Mariner, Repp, & Gilliam. You guys satisfied yet?

Not showing up and losing by forfeit sounds like the cool thing to do, right? That way we could have saved money on travel expenses. There is no such thing as bad publicity, so think of how much our program could have gained on ESPN by collecting the $1.5 million and not even flying out for the game. I hope someone is talking to our AD to make sure this is how we handle all future money games.

Don't schedule these games if you don't want to play them.

I’m satisfied, because I know two of these injuries would have happened playing Logan High School.

Hack - back peddling to pass block. Nobody even touched him

Mariner - Rolled awkwardly like he caught a one handed pass in his backyard.

Gilliam - was a hard hit and could possibly be attributed to the LSU player being physical. Gilliam was originally injured in the SDSU game.

Repp - Didn’t see how he was injured.

Other games players were injured:

Wake Forest -

Terin Adams
Zahodri Jackson
Fua Leilua

Stony Brook -

Peasley
I think Derek Wright got banged up a bit

SDSU -

Cash Gilliam
Jaylin Warren
Andy Koch

CSU -

Gerold Bright banged up
Alfred Edwards hand
Taylor Compton
Nick Heniger
