Looks like rain for Saturday

Post by paaron46 » September 24th, 2019, 11:14 am

Just a reminder to pack your ponchos. Looks like we're going to have a wet game on Saturday if forecasts hold. Also, close to a 30% chance of thunderstorms (according to Accuweather.com). Really hope we don't end up with lightning delays.

Nice! Not packing my poncho anymore. But if it rains I'm blaming you!

Could you bump up the low temperature as well? I don't want to bring my jacket.

No can do. I enjoy watching the crazies in short sleeves and mini shorts regret their wardrobe decision come half time.

I'm now seeing 100% chance of rain at game time.

The 2011 muffed punt loss was a beautiful night weatherwise. Ugly otherwise

Don't mind the rain so much, but if we end up with 30-40 min. lightning delays that's gonna really suck.

There was that miserable game a few years ago when it was cold and the wind blew pretty stout the entire game and we shut them out.

The forecasts I'm seeing say thunderstorms before noon, and then just constant rain.

Accuweather was the opposite. They show rain in the morning with thunderstorms in the evening. I'm betting it stops raining before the game and we are left with a cold and cloudy evening.

Just need to figure out how to sneak in some hot chocolate.

Accuweather shows likely thunderstorms around 8:00pm onward. It'll likely be around the end of the game if that's the case. Still, hope it's wrong.

Don't they sell hot chocolate at the concessions stands ? I hate that stuff so I really do not know. I do know they make the worst coffee I have ever had.

Seriously...I'm already planning on avoiding usufans.com for a week. There's going to be too much for people to complain about.

Weather is the nemesis of the spread offense. Get ready for an ugly game. Just like last season.

It's probably too late now but the O should have been practicing with wet Footballs soaked in ice cold water then pulled out and given directly to the Center while it's slippery and run the drill. I'm not sure if this would make a difference but it wouldn't hurt.

So how well does the blue suit double as a poncho? Do you end up soaked to the bone, or does the water just roll off?

Forget sneaking in hot chocolate, you need to sneak in something you can put INTO the hot chocolate to make the game more enjoyable  :stirpot:

I've been to a USU game when we've had torrential downpours along with cold weather, and the stands were packed, why wouldn't the students show up? I think they will, rain or shine!

And rains affecting our game? Again, if you watch any film on CSU, just run the ball and get to the outside, TD TIME!

Not the weather I was hoping for late September, but it will be alright. Growing up on a dry farm we prayed for rain almost every night and getting rain was the lifeblood of a dry farmer. To this day I don't complain when it rains. Get your ponchos and sweatshirts ready and be ready to cheer on the Aggies. I won't let a little rain derail my happiness to watch the Aggies play.

[On the coaches show broadcast all week GA mentioned that they have been soaking the ball during practice for the offense trying to prepare them as much as possible for Saturday night.]
