Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
I’ve seen it stated multiple times it’s a torn ACL and he’s done for the year.

Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
It's true. I "leaked" the word like three times in one thread.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑September 21st, 2019, 2:14 pmI’ve seen it stated multiple times it’s a torn ACL and he’s done for the year.

Scotty G also mentioned he’s out for the season on the pre-game show.

Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
Any word on Peasley, how well he is recovering? I really feel he is going to thrive as our starting QB if he gets healthy. Was in awe with his arm and quickness!

Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
Peasley could certainly win the starting job this coming year (certainly made more difficult when recovering from an ACL tear), but Henry Colombi is definitely in pole position. I love Peasley's energy, but I don't know if he's got the arm to be a D1 guy quite yet. Would love to see him develop more.

Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
If he doesn't have an arm by now, he never will. I don't know that he doesn't..just haven't seen it. Henry's the guy no question, then probly Legas.YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑December 12th, 2019, 9:25 pmPeasley could certainly win the starting job this coming year (certainly made more difficult when recovering from an ACL tear), but Henry Colombi is definitely in pole position. Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
Whenever I watched Peasley in fall camp I came away a little underwhelmed with his throwing ability. I think he has tools but his arm definitely didn't stand out. Even if he were healthy I wouldn't think he has much of a chance of beating Colombi out.

Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
There were times this year I thought if we had a package set up with peasley it would be nice. Not that I thought he was better than Jordan or Colombi but he is such a different look. Running the read option with him and a fly sweep slot it tough. He could have helped us run the ball this year.JFW_AGGIES wrote: ↑December 12th, 2019, 10:00 pmIf he doesn't have an arm by now, he never will. I don't know that he doesn't..just haven't seen it. Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
Henry Colombi is the guy in 2020. What's going to be interesting a couple of years from now will be who steps up out of Andy Peasley, Josh Calvin and Cooper Legas. All three players will be redshirt freshman in 2020.

Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
We could always use Peasley the way the Saints use Taysom Hill.

Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
Does this mean Peasley has already had a medical redshirt approved, or are we assuming that he will when the time comes?

Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
I may be thinking of a different player, but I believe Gary has said that he has been automatically approved for the redshirt.YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑December 13th, 2019, 8:08 amDoes this mean Peasley has already had a medical redshirt approved, or are we assuming that he will when the time comes?

Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
How do the mechanics of this work? Does he get it if he applies for a sixth year, or is just applied immediately?thegreendalegelf wrote: ↑December 13th, 2019, 8:11 amI may be thinking of a different player, but I believe Gary has said that he has been automatically approved for the redshirt.YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑December 13th, 2019, 8:08 amDoes this mean Peasley has already had a medical redshirt approved, or are we assuming that he will when the time comes?

Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
Yes, Gary has said his medical redshirt is approved. Our QB situation next year will be very odd. We'll have 5 QB's. 4 of them will be freshman. Yaro Duvalko will redshirt I'm sure. However, our other 3 QB's will all be part of the same class. They're all freshman who have used a redshirt--Legas, Peasley, & Calvin.thegreendalegelf wrote: ↑December 13th, 2019, 8:11 amI may be thinking of a different player, but I believe Gary has said that he has been automatically approved for the redshirt.YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑December 13th, 2019, 8:08 amDoes this mean Peasley has already had a medical redshirt approved, or are we assuming that he will when the time comes?

Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
There's a new rule that says if you get hurt early in your redshirt freshman campaign, you automatically get a medical redshirt. Koch will also be a freshman again next year.

Re: Any leaked word on Peasley.....
Exactly right. Offensive linemen Wyatt Bowles will also use this rule.BustaMcNutt wrote: ↑December 13th, 2019, 8:23 amThere's a new rule that says if you get hurt early in your redshirt freshman campaign, you automatically get a medical redshirt. Koch will also be a freshman again next year.

I believe that person is Andy Koch that Gary mentioned.thegreendalegelf wrote: ↑December 13th, 2019, 8:11 amI may be thinking of a different player, but I believe Gary has said that he has been automatically approved for the redshirt.YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑December 13th, 2019, 8:08 amDoes this mean Peasley has already had a medical redshirt approved, or are we assuming that he will when the time comes?
