Heard he left Boise State because he wanted to play running back and the BSU coaches wanted him to move to linebacker. I don’t see him going to a place where he wouldn’t be a running back. Especially since Boise isn’t very deep at LB and he’d have great chance at playing early. I could be wrong but either way, I hope it works out for him!

His recruiting list isn't too stellar to be a 3 or 4 star kid. BSU, BYU, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana are listed as schools of interest on his 24/7 page. I wonder what more there is to his story. I do believe he'll do very well in the LB arena. He's a great athlete with good speed.

Found this article on him prior to his senior season written in June 2018.
It explains a little bit more about his recruitment and his life plans back then.

This is correct! Keegan has been added to the official roster and is currently listed as a linebacker.

Yes I had a BYU fan go out of his way to tell me the reason he didn’t go to BYU was because he wanted to play runningback and they wanted him at linebacker. Showing him the official roster was great.aggies22 wrote: ↑September 17th, 2019, 8:07 amJFW_AGGIES wrote: ↑September 15th, 2019, 1:40 pmWrong... he will be playing LB here and that is were he has wanted to play while in collegeBlue4life wrote: ↑September 15th, 2019, 1:28 pmHeard he left Boise State because he wanted to play running back and the BSU coaches wanted him to move to linebacker. Re: Keegan Duncan (Boise transfer) officially an Aggie
He's a great athlete I saw him play many times in high school. However he is not even close to being the state record holder in the 100m dash in Idaho. He's not even the Idaho 2A record holder. He took 3rd his senior season and 2nd his junior season at the Idaho 2A meet. I think his most impressive track and field performance was his 48 second 400m state championship run. That shows he has a big engine.cornia27 wrote: ↑August 28th, 2019, 9:00 pmThe competition was inferior yes but I saw him scrimmage against bigger teams like Richland Washington and Eastside Catholic and 4A and 5A teams from Idaho and he held his own. Vander Esch played and dominated 8 man football and held his own in college and the pros. If Duncan played in 4A or 5A he would have been just fine. Kid is an athlete played basketball and state record holder in 100 meters

Re: Keegan Duncan (Boise transfer) officially an Aggie
I watched Duncan plan quite a few games in HS. If he's in a good place (good school, coaches, friends, etc), he'll do well. I have heard he's there now. We're a lot better fit for him than Boise. He actually won the 100 as a sophomore when the football offers started rolling in. I would guess his focus was not on track and field but rather on weights and football. 10.8 may not be the fastest 100 ever - but it's really fast for a 223 lb high school kid. Of course, he's a next year p anyway, but he'll be special for us.
