MWC schedule

Post by AggieFBObsession » August 19th, 2019, 7:40 am

This will be one of the most interesting weeks in the mwc of the year.

Aug 24 Arizona at Hawaii. Arizona -13
Bad pass defense against Hawaii's run and shoot. Pick Hawaii to cover.

Aug 29
UNCO at SJSU Spartans -10.5

Can the Spartans survive an FCS school?
Pick UNCO to cover.

Aug 30
Utah State at Wake Forest. Wake -2.5

When was the last time that Utah State beat a P5 school on the road?

Purdue at Nevada. Purdue -6.5
Likely Purdue win here while Nevada breaks in a freshman QB, but crazier things have happened.
Pick Purdue to cover.

CSU at Colorado. Colorado -10.5
Anything can happen in a rivalry game.

August 31
SHSU at UNM. Lobos -10

See SJSU statement above. Same principle applies. Don't embarrass the mwc, lobos.

Boise State at Florida State. Seminoles -4
Broncos are breaking in a new QB also and will likely play two QBs. I think you bet on the Seminoles covering the spread.

Missouri at Wyoming. Tigers -15.5
Laramie is always a tough place to play but the Tigers should win by at least 2-3 TDs.

Weber State at SDSU.
The Aztecs will be on upset alert. Trust me. Another interesting thing will be if they really do run the spread or if that's Rocky Long's smoke and mirrors.

SUU at UNLV. Rebels -24
Again, please don't embarrass the mwc.
Thunderbirds cover

Fresno State at USC. Trojans -10.5
This is an intriguing game. I'm expecting the MWC champs to give them a good fight.

Which MWC teams win?

You really think Weber is going to give fits to SDSU? Weber has built a good team- but SDSU, if it were FCS (with the talent levels it has had) would contend for an FCS championship almost every year.

I'd like to hear your prediction for our game against SDSU later in the year.

To be fair, SDSU always (I can't express myself without swearing) the bed once per year in the OOC. I think they’ve lost to a couple of FCS schools in the recent past.

I'm actually really smart, probably smarter than you are so if you disagree with what I have stated in this post, you are likely wrong (and dumb).

That's the whole reason why Rocky Long has been talking about running the spread because he says it takes too long for hs kids to adjust to the power I. I'll believe it when I see it.

Didn't SDSU lose to FCS's schools two years in a row? For some reason, they always seem to play up or down to their competition, except when they play us, they usually just kick our asses. This year WILL be different.

I don't know if I would continue to bet that a trend of SDSU losing to FCS schools.

I think Weber State could beat half the MW this year but I don't think SDSU will be in that half. In fact, I expect SDSU to win their division.

My guess.

Hawaii - I think they get a good win for the conference Saturday.
SJSU - if not they will not win a single game except possibly UNM
Utah State
UNM - if not they will not win a single game except possibly SJSU
Boise State - This is better than a loss for the conference. I don’t like predicting this though.
SDSU
UNLV

The Fresno/USC game could be an interesting one for sure.

Hawaii wins 45-38 over Arizona. It's worth keeping track of this.
