Is he a mission kid. Hopefully it doesn't mean we lost a qb commit.

He also offered Hunter Hill, an OL from Orem and teammate of Cooper. He is currently committed to Washington State but in his commitment video he shows a picture of him as a kid wearing a Utah State uniform.

We didnt have many scholarships left, right? Wonder if this means we are losing a QB and OL commit?

You might be a tad impressed that one of the first recruiting calls from a new coach is to you.

Or there may be a change in recruiting, getting guys with p-12 offers would be a good thing

Re: Gary wasting no time with an offer
I hope we keep our commitment to every recruit that has committed that still wants to sign. Pulling offers from committed guys this late in the game would be pretty low.
Totally free game to pull offers from un-committed guys.

To me it looks like these guys want to play together. They have been retweeting each other's posts.

Re: Gary wasting no time with an offer
I can see both commits from Oregon decommitting. Pure speculation and I hope I’m wrong because I think both of them will be good.

I would guess if Jordan has another great yr he will leave early for the NFL. He is a big time talent!

Jordan has the skill. He needs to improve his composure after he makes a mistake.

We are too quick to fret, worry and speculate. I'd wager a large sum of money GA has already reached out to most, if not all of our commits by now with very good results.

Legas is going to end up a 3 or 4 time state champion in wrestling. He is a stud. Could see him switching to defense just like little vigil.

Gary just called me to thank me for being a fan. Assuming he did the same for you guys too.

Gary will put them in positions to be successful. Not everyone will play QB.

As I mentioned a week or two ago, I actually got a call from Gary one day in response to a question I sent him.UtahStizzle wrote: ↑December 9th, 2018, 8:37 pmGary just called me to thank me for being a fan. Assuming he did the same for you guys too.

Aric Davison tweeting that he just got off the phone (11 pm) with Coach A and that he can’t wait to get up to Logan!

Re: Gary wasting no time with an offer
Worried about the two Oregon guys the most... they were the two who were “waiting to see on the new coach” in Aggies22’s list. Hoping they will see the light with GA even with how things ended at OSU.
Would really suck to see our newly-minted NW pipeline shut off.

Re: Gary wasting no time with an offer
I haven't heard about losing Josh Calvin. That would be really strange considering he was on his official visit here this weekend. I do like Legas, he is a mobile kid that can slide in and out of the pocket and can sling the football. I thought we should have offered him after his junior year. BUT I do like Josh Calvin more and he can do many of the same things that Legas can, only better. There is a reason why Josh Calvin is moving up in the 247sports rankings. If you'll look closely at Legas' tweet he states "I want to thank Coach Andersen for trusting in me as a quarterback", that doesn't scream future linebacker to me. I have no idea if Legas or Hill are sign and send kids?? I'll work on it and get back.GeorgiaAggie wrote: ↑December 9th, 2018, 5:57 pmThat’s what I was wondering as well. Any insight Aggies22?

Re: Gary wasting no time with an offer
Yes the plan right now is that Cooper Legas is a mission kid. Won't affect Calvin at all.

Re: Gary wasting no time with an offer
Cooper has won state in 3 sports. Wrestling, javelin and as the qb in football. Pretty impressive.
