How would you react if Vic Koennig ends up being the guy?
I know as for me I would go apoplectic. But I can’t help shake the fact that Hartwell knows him and his “experience in the region” (5-29 as HC at Wyoming) and “CEO experience” will be used to justify the hiring.
I’d like to think it won’t be him but with GA out of the running, I have a really bad feeling.

Re: Vic Koennig
I’m just worried because he was on Brett Mcmuffin’s list of candidates. Granted, Aranda and Orlando were on there too and I think most of us agree they’re not serious given pay cuts required.
I’d literally rather see Brent Guy back than Vic Koennig.

He doesn't. He just wants people to think he knows something. Which he doesn't. GA is most definitely not out of the running.Notatrueaggie wrote:How do you know Gary is out of the running?

Brent Guy, the worst coach in school history was better than that guy at Wyoming. I am dedicated to the school, but I would have a very difficult time continuing to support the program at the same level with that hire. He shouldn't even be a candidate.

You might consider weighing your comments just a bit. rAggie has some connections that may serve him very well... really. I don't have any inside information but rAggie does have more access to certain well informed inside information than many of us do. Just sayin', no offense intended.aggieman2828 wrote: ↑December 1st, 2018, 6:27 pmHe doesn't. He just wants people to think he knows something. Which he doesn't. The least talked about but one of the worst things about Guy’s years were those sorority “spirit jerseys”.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑December 1st, 2018, 6:40 pmrAggie wrote: I’d literally rather see Brent Guy back than Vic Koennig.

Seriously some of the worst looking jerseys in the NCAA.
Back when we were on ESPNs top 10 all the time...
For being the team that had a huge strip sack for TD, or giving up a 90 yd TD...
Will always remember when we lost on a 58 fg to Fresno, when SJSU went up with a minute or so left, but botched the kick off. All our guy had to do was fall on it, and then gain 10-15 yds for a game winning field goal. But instead he just stared it down.
Our when our fans chanted overrated to BYU when we were down by 20. However the guy in the row ahead of me did hit one of their players square in the face with a Gatorade bottle when they started the victory lap.
So that was entertaining.
Those were the days

No, I'm actually more concerned about an alien spacecraft hitting the west stadium complex than I am about Vic Koenning getting the job. Come on guys!

Re: Vic Koennig
One of those five wins was against USU, a shootout featuring the infamous incident where we scored the potential game-tying TD and Stallworth took off his helmet to celebrate, got flagged for it, and we proceeded to miss the 35-yd extra point attempt and lost by one. I want to say that Bouknight was on the Wyoming side for that one (he was a Koenning recruit).rAggie wrote: ↑December 1st, 2018, 6:05 pmHow would you react if Vic Koennig ends up being the guy?

Yo not trying to get anyone riled up, I asked the question, what would your reaction be? You know, trying to discuss things on a message board. Some of you take life way too seriously.
But for real I’m scared to death of Koennig.
