I really liked this article about Gaje. Yesterday I was asking for more stories like this that help me connect with the players and today I get to read one. Take a read.

I totally agree, Gaje is one of those guys who gives %110 every play. What was it that GA said about jake doughty, that he plays like he has an extra body in his closet at home. I think Gaje is that kinda player too.

He sounds like a great guy from a good family; losing 2 younger brothers would be very hard.

The thing I love about Gaje is everything he has is left on the field. He gives everything he has. He is not the best in pass coverage, but he is decent. He is a very good tackler and you know he is 100% proud to be and Aggie.

I think he’s a great representative of the university and the valley, someone everyone can be proud of and get behind.

I swear, this statement shows up once, randomly, every single season. GA said it about Kyle Gallagher, no more asking. Ever again. I’m serious. Makes me wonder if we should just go ahead and fire our fans along with wells and bench Ferguson. Better play it safe and fire Smith for getting Summit League recruits and Hartwell for hiding in his office while we’re at it.

That was actually Kyle Gallagher.
There was a guy named Tom Peabody who played for Paul Westhead at Loyola Marymount during the run-and-gun Hank Gathers/Bo Kimble era. His nickname was "The Human Bruise." I believe I was watching an LMU game when I first heard the "he plays like he's got an extra body in the closet" expression applied to him.

I think Shaq Bond had a worse game against Air Force then Ferguson did. Understandably though. Keep in mind Bond hasn't had a ton of football experience relatively, and probably hasn't played much against an option offense like that. I really like Shaq and think it was a great learning experience for him.

Shaq tweeted this after the game.

Bond has been torched and out of position a lot. I like his upside but I'll take Gage on the field when it matters.

Ingrim got targeted a bunch against AF and gave up some untimely big plays in the secondary.
