Not sure. I commented on KM'S Instagram post telling him he should be thinking about winning not his own stats. He deleted the past then unfriended me.jeepnfonz wrote:I was wondering about that text. Do you think he's starting

JMHO you shouldn't be contacting FB players. But that's JMHO.mchild82 wrote:Not sure. I commented on KM'S Instagram post telling him he should be thinking about winning not his own stats. I don't think I would be communicating with any players unless they were a personal friend.

Re: Chuckie
Student athletes are young and impressionable. They already have the stress of school and performing to keep their scholarship. The last thing they need is fan ridicule; if nothing else we should praise them for their efforts, even if we believe their efforts fall short of our expectations. The last thing we want to do is drive someone away from the program because of all the jerk fans giving someone a hard time. It may just be enough to push someone over the edge with all the added stress, and have that as the reason they bail on us. Word will get out too, don't go to USU, their fans are a bunch of jerks. Keep it cool guys!

In his defense though, some of these guys act like they are God's gift to USU even when they are losing. If they want to post something in order to publically get an avalanche of "your so awesome" responses, I think it's healthy when someone occasionally tells them to shut up. There are plenty of high level players on our team that wouldn't dare draw attention to themselves right after a loss and I would think even would be frustrated by seeing teammates saying "I'm ballin outta control" the day after they kissed their MW Championship hopes goodbye. If I was on the team, that would piss me right off.

I'm in the same boat. In fact, I'm worse. I don't have a Twitter account and only read tweets that are screenshot in an article or linked on the news feed on this site. For the life of me I can't figure out who is speaking, what they hell they are saying, and to whom they are speaking.

Re: Chuckie
I disagree. I've never been a fan of treating an athlete as something special. The players are coddled and already get special treatment. 99.9% of them have to live in the real world after college and not the fantasy-land of the NFL where they propped up even further as an idol. At some point they have to face criticism for their actions just like the rest of us do in the real world. We aren't doing them any favors bowing at their feet and kissing their robes. The last thing I want is the inmates running the asylum because the fans were told to keep their mouths shut.ViAggie wrote:Student athletes are young and impressionable. If I remember correctly, it wasn't Myers that gave up 35 points to Air Force's offense.

So...getting back to Chuckie Keeton. Has anyone heard through the grapevine that Chuckie will be playing, or even playing more for that matter in tomorrow's game. I would assume it is just Chuckie being positive like he always has been.

It's very likely that CK will be playing some kind of minutes on senior day against BYU. Since BYU is no push over the question becomes, when do they get CK back into the swing of things. After the San Diego game someone said that the QB meeting room was pretty intense/heated. I have 0 inside info but it wouldn't suprise me to see CK playing against Nevada and BYU. How much? I have no clue.

Agree. Why should these players have fun like all their friends. They're getting paid hundreds you know, and all we ask in exchange is perfection in all things.ag4fr wrote: I actually really just wish that the coaches would tell the guys to stay out of the fan forums and the twittersphere and the facebook virtual world.

From what I hear they're having plenty of "Fun" like all their Friends... And it's true they are getting paid hundreds plus the cost of their education that has been awarded in the form of a Scholly.UtahStizzle wrote:Agree. Props to Myers for the way he handled this this ridiculousness. Glad he didn't give the time of day to respond. Re: Chuckie
Simply pointing out the irony is all. They are indeed young adults. Just making a point that many 19 year old college students aren't mature. Not a knock. Maturity often just comes with experience and age. Credit to Myers for being more mature than the very immature fan in this instance.AggieDude wrote:Where not kids?aggie23 wrote:Waite.....isn't Myers an adult too? He's not a kid. 1) Yep, I wouldn't make it as a recruiter, that's for sure. I don't idolize someone for running fast and jumping high. I appreciate their skills, but they are no more deserving of special treatment than anyone else in life.918AGG wrote:1) Good luck with your future recruiting efforts!FloridaAggie13 wrote:I disagree.
