2024 KICKOFF and WEEKLY PICK'EM

Post by AGinNEIowa » August 8th, 2024, 8:27 pm

22 days until the AGGIES kickoff!

That means it's time for PICK'EM!
Kickoff Pick'em and Week 1 links are posted below and in my signature. Please note that I won't be listing all of the games in the threads, you will need to go to the Google Sheet to see the games and select your winning picks.

KICKOFF - 75 Games, all picked by Saturday of Week 1, and tiebreakers. Braggin' Rights to the winner.

Online Entry Form is here Deadline to enter all 75 and the tiebreakers is 10am 31 August(which is kickoff for game 3).
Tiebreakers are Total Losses for each of 6 teams (highest ranked from each of P4 conferences, Notre Dame and USU) and Total Points Scored by USU Aggies - this is before Conf Champ losses and points - so Regular Season only.

WEEKLY PICK'EM - 15 games each week for the whole season.
This also includes the Who The Hell Cares Game - 1 game each week from lower division football.

Week 1 Entry Form is here - Tiebreaker 1 is margin of victory for your pick in the robert morris at USU game (RMU Wins then use Negative points). Tiebreaker 2 is Spencer Petras passing yards in that game

WTHCG - This game is part of Weekly Pick'em -each week I pick a game involving 2 non-FBS teams, usually D2 or D3 with the occasional FCS game thrown in.
The Cal Poly Mustangs are one half of the season's first WTHCG. The Mustangs look to be led by senior DE Elijah Ponder who is on the Shrine Bowl watch list, FCS preseason All American and Big Sky preseason all conference. The Mustangs ended the 2023 season at 3-8 including their loss at home to San Diego in week 1.
The San Diego Toreros will host Cal Poly are looking improve on 2023's record of 4-7. The Toreros are picked to finish 5th in the league, and garnered one first place vote in the coaches' poll and they have 3 Pioneer Football League preseason players- all on the defense. USD won last year's match up in SLO 27-10

PICK'EM CONTESTS are open to all who wish to participate. Please use your USUFANS login name, or the same entry name each week - as the Weekly Contest will accumulate scores throughout the season (Remember, after week 6 I drop everyone's low week to calculate the YTD leader)

Both Contests (Kickoff and Week 1) include games from Week 0 (Montana St at New Mexico and SMU at Nevada on Sat 8/24)- those games must be picked before they kickoff, the other games have to be picked before 10 am on 31 August
Again this year - all games have drop downs - so you select the winner and don't have to type on your mobile device

Good Luck! and as always - GO AGGIES!
