Resurrected threads

Post by Dwigt » March 29th, 2018, 4:40 pm

Would it be simple to have some sort of indicator that a thread has been resurrected on here? Something like if a certain amount of time had occurred between posts an icon appears next to the thread when something new has been posted.

Presumptuous and ill-informed.

This is something that I've been looking into and right now it doesn't look like there is an easy solution. We could set old posts to automatically lock but short of that I can't see an easy way to notify people.

Lock them after 6 months of no activity? Usually they are just used to go “i was right” or “you were wrong”, the only exception being the A that jp swenson is working on.

I've asked the other mods for feedback on potentially locking old threads. We'll see what they say.

Any thread over 6 months old will now automatically lock except in certain forums (Downloads and Here).

This is going to totally ruin my bookmarked threads of people praising Wells.
