Is there a way to embed a tweet when a user posts a Twitter link? Not only would it look nice, but Twitter may or may not be blocked at my work.

There are ways to do embedded Twitter linked but it still uses Twitter so if it's blocked for you it will probably still be blocked on the embed. I can look into seeing if anyone has done anything with phpBB

Would love to see this done.... blocked at my work too.

I've looked at it. The solutions available don't work well with phpBB and they also wouldn't get around a block it still pulls from Twitter's servers.
