Re: Queta Out in Sactown
[lispp [/list] It's looking more and more that Queta and the Kings are going to part ways, as the Kings signed Nerlens Noel today. Damn I hate the Kings for drafting Queta. https://aroyalpain.com/2023/07/18/kings-nerlens-noels-signing-likely-sees-fan-favorite-monstrous-player-exit/ He had some sort ...

He has some sort of foot injury which could keep him out for the first couple months of season.

Glad to hit this year's quota for rapists so quickly, not even into fall camp. Great we can continue our long tradition. I don't care if the Aggies never win another game, they gotta fix this problem. Better students, better coaches, better admin, better culture. Top priority for next AD is to stop...

Re: All Star game
Your problem is that you're actually trying to watch an All-Star Game. Unlike the crimes against nature in the NBA and NFL, the MLB All-Star game is great. Players really seem to give a crap, and you can play at top level with a new group of teammates without worrying much about plays or systems or...

All Star game
Game hasn’t started yet and I am already disgusted. One of the cool things was seeing all the different uniforms of all the players, but some genius designed the hideous uniforms they are now wearing. Best thing would be to set them in the middle of a cow pasture, let the cows do what cows do, later...

Not having a dog in the fight and just being a fan, not an alum, I think Bovee has done a great job in hiss 8 month interview, in particular the Sorinkle hire.

Odom always had one foot out the door here from the day he was hired. He was from the East coast, and USU was merely a detour to get him a good job back home.

Thompson needs to get replacements ready, Gonzaga could have been had a couple years ago, not now. NDSU, SDSU could be good replacements, forget Montana as they will not leave FCS.

Jim Turner
Former USU player Jim Turner passed away. He was 82. He kicked 3/field goals during the most important SBIII helping Joe Willie Namath and the Jets defeat the Baltimore Colts 16-7.
He later earned Denver Bronco Ring of Fame distinction as their kicker forb8 years.

6-7 does not make for prime time. Get a few 10-3 and 9-4 in a row games wiill be better.

Re: Arizona Coyotes on the move?
There is absolutely no wat SLC gets an MLB or NFL team in the near and semi distant future. With the A’s headed to Vegas there just is not the population to support another team, especially with bigger cities like Nashville, Charlotte, Portland (a long shot), Montreal, S Virginia, Riverside/San Bern...

Re: Arizona Coyotes on the move?
I think it's more likely that we get a team 8-10 years down the road. Gary Bettman has eluded to the fact that he wants 2-4 more teams, but the process is ~6-8 years. It would time up well if Utah got the 2030 or 2034 Olympics(and $$$ from the US Olympic committee for facilities) along with the end...

Re: Just sat next to Bryce Crawford on a flight
The number that was floated around here was that VCU was paying a little more than what USF offered, like 1.7M. But he would’ve been closer to that here had he stayed with the new contract, but nobody knows exactly what that contract looked like. Not only that, but I am sure cost of living consider...

Re: There is a dark cloud on the horizon
The solution is easy, if we want Ashworth to stay, we need to increase his NIL by 100k. Anyone able to do that? I keep wondering if I was in his position what I would do… it would be very hard to turn down 180k for a year… that’s a big down payment on a house… If I was Ashworth, I would tell them t...

The bracket matrix (consolidation of many “experts” has SDSU 5 Boise a 10, USU as top 11 and Nevada as first out, still not great but better.

Re: Dorius and Shulga
Dorius deserves a whole helluva lot more playing time. He makes a huge difference. Why did Coach take him out with 5 minutes left? My guess is he is not a good foul shooter. I have been amazed by his improvement overall. I remember when he was a freshman, he he could barely walk and clap his hands ...

In 3 months no one outside Memphis is going to remember that Memphis had the biggest margin- and that's going to be a minority within that fan base. We got wrecked. It's over. Perhaps so. But I remember a number of games that have stuck in my craw for longer than they should have: * Fresno St. kick...

Just a bit of trivia, Montana took UCLA to the limit losing by just 1 point in the next round. John Wooden said that Montana’s Hays played the best game ever by a opponent in Wooden’s career.
