Re: Coach Smith owns the MWC

I think the athletic department needs to find some way to pay him. I get that we can't stave off the highest of the blue bloods, but we might be able to stave off the also-rans of the P5. We need to find a way to make it less of a no-brainer for him. Utah State is a good job. We should never be afr...

Go after the Zags and St. Mary's and maybe Creighton, then make a play for Wichita? Why not. :noidea:

Those are the only four schools I can see worth adding anyway.
We have been there and done that. The Zags said no, and the MWC said no to Wichita.

Watch Hair invite Houston and Tulsa to the MWC now, you know he'd try it. And he absolutely should be proactive. But more so BYU and Houston. BYU is the biggest tv draw of all these schools and they are in our geographical footprint. The mw should actively in poaching a school from the aac in Texas...

Re: Karter Shaw in Transfer Portal

I’m not sure why these guys want to leave. I’d think playing OL in BA’s scheme would be a lot of fun. Seeing the transfers and recruits we are bringing in, the rebuild may be shorter than we think. Stick around and be an almost certain starter in an aggressive offense with a coach that will run thr...

It stands to reason that KVNU lost the bid to broadcast aggie games. The cache valley media group chose not to cover the aggie games that were on Kfan. Al Lewis had terrible equipment that broke down often, and his shrill style was a hard listen, his interviews had questions that lasted longer than ...

Meh. This feels like an overreaction. Nobody cares about Sam Merrill but us, and we are a relatively small percentage of their listeners. The vast majority of their listeners were listening for stuff on the Jazz. It would have been nice if they had brought it up, but whatever. What difference does ...

How much interest do you think is in Sammy, when of course the Jazz are playing the Bucks tonight ? I would think the fan interest is in those that will play with the game on the line, 1280 is fine of course those two guys do not talk all that much about USU. This is definitely looking like the most diverse staff ever. Tons of ties to the south, recruiting could look a lot different moving forward. I've always thought Logan was the Mormon Miami.

I like playing Wyoming, CSU, Air Force, New Mexico, Nevada, etc. I am also not a fan of selling out all of the other sports just so the football team can still be a member of a G5 conference with very few regional rivals. From what I am hearing is that Cockett was referring to a “change of culture” as in locker room behavior, team attitude, and other things along those lines. The players heard the word “culture”and probably immediately thought it was Maile’s Religious and Polynesian culture. If this is true... :roll...
