Re: USU Women's Bball
Any sense about the effort or morale of the assistants on this year's team (she seems to cycle through those like she does players)? If we should sack her tomorrow (not likely, but a boy's gotta dream....), who would be the interim coach?

Re: Who gets the top 5
Honestly, there are 4 tiers. Tier 1 top seed, avoids the most dangerous other teams and gets to play the winner of 8 v 9 Tier 2 Seeds 2 and 3- get to play a game against a team who played a game the night before. Honestly, these seeds are dangerous. 6 and 7 teams always seem to pick off a 2 or 3. T...

… that we played with the lead in the 80 minutes of that road trip. Three possessions - after the infamous five-point play in Vegas, then after early scores by Falslev and Martinez in the Pit. Lots of talk about the end of the game and the calls that went our way. Not nearly enough about the game Ian Martinez had. 24 points, 6-8 on 3-pointers, 5 assists, one highlight reel dunk. He's been a little hot and cold, but when he's hot as he was yesterday, it makes the double-team on Oso too ris...

Walk-on Brenchley has gotten PT in our last three blowouts - UW, AFA, ETSU.
Schollied J. Grant hasn't left the bench since Northwest Nazarene, seven games ago. Is he hurt? In the doghouse?

Right now I see us as a boarder line lock. The question is if we can hang with the other top 5. If we beat CSU, I think we’re a lock. What’s the cutoff, 8 losses usually? As long as we beat 1-2 of the top 5 and don’t lose stupid games, then we’re in, no doubt. “border line lock”? (I don’t care abou...

Re: Washington State & Oregon state to the WCC
May all be a moot point. Depending on how FSU forces its way out of the ACC, they may invite OSU and WSU within the next year anyway. It's not that the PAC 2 would bring much to the ACC, it's that the lower P4 teams don't like the idea of forcing someone to the G5 since they know they could be next...

It will be more than the usual. Utah and Washington State will bring their fans to add to our games. We are a better team than a month ago. With an entirely new team, that is to be expected. Some of our deficiencies will cost us some games, but we should certainly be in the upper middle of the standings. If things really click, we could win it. If we don't improve much, we could slip down several ...

I think there are things to be critical of BA for and that I've definitely criticized him for in the past, but it does seem like his players love him and that he's a genuinely good dude. Bowl eligibility
Since you asked ;) : The Sun Belt has 12 bowl eligible teams this season, out of 14 members. Seven of the 12 are 6-6. Just a little something to bear in mind when we get excited about being bowl-eligible - it's a pretty low bar. Maybe "relieved" is a better word than "excited". (Still glad we're in!)
