http://www.sltrib.com/Blogs/ususports Per Tony Jones. My source told me that saturday was the target to get Nate some minutes on the floor, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Nate tomorrow night if we need him. Nate wants to finish this year and create some memories for the rest of his life. He's do...

Re: Jim Boylen is a liar!!!!
Boylen talks about teaching his players to be fearful and weak, so he schedules the same way -- and he hopes the rest of the league's coaches start to do the same.
"I tell my guys we'll play anybody, anytime, anywhere as long as anywhere means at home," he said. "I want them to think like that.

We should have picked up more than 1 vote for our performance in Provo. Coaches know better, the AP poll is a beauty contest.

New Mexico will never allow NMSU in, and Boise will never allow Idaho in, so it's us and a Texas school or us and SJSU. Or just two Texas schools.

nevada lost by 2 dang it! At least they're improving, and it's better to lose to GW than a Big West team.

Benson is grasping desperately for any team that will say "yes", not exactly the picture of a solid foundation for a conference.

Re: SLC Luncheon Report
So did I read that correct? If the MWC called again with the interest question we'd give them the same answer? Sounds to me like Barnes is covering his butt by saying they were checking our interest level. In fact, what would have been wrong with saying "yes, we're interested, what's on your mind?"....

Re: In the students' absence...
You and your's may be that loud, as are the members of my family, but you have to admit the majority of loud fans are student fans so I hope they get em if they want em. I think pharquar is right, the AD may be attempting to make more $$ at the sacrifice of the students. I hope it's not the case. As...

Re: In the students' absence...
My brother also said they have a section set aside for these non-students in the student section, so my guess is that they didn't plan on waiting to see how many students were coming. These seats will be assigned. They banked on the fact that there were going to be at least enough students gone to s...

Re: In the students' absence...
Okay, let me rephrase, the only seats left not in the student section are single seats, no groupings. Those seats are spread out around the Spectrum. Whether that be in the top 5 rows or down to the floor, I don't know.
And yes, they're selling those seats cause my dad just bought three of them.

The only but in all this is will it encourage the AD to put these big games during the holiday breaks? Or at least will it not discourage them in the future? It's nice for Cache Valley'ers who are home for the holidays to go back and see the Aggies, but the Spectrum just ain't the Spectrum without t...

Re: Was it Just Me or Did the Team Seem Like They Didn't Car
It's a chicken and egg problem. The players want the fans to pack the stadium, rain or shine or snow. The fans won't sit in the rain or snow unless we have a winning team. It's a shame, but I think the latter scenario will win this battle. Cache Valley needs to see some winning first. Let's hope nex...

I just realized this is the U's first road game, and although it won't be as hostile as it could when students are there, the place should be intimidating. I'm changing my vote from 69-60 Aggies, to 74-59 Aggies!

Re: Utes v Aggies CALL IT
Aggies 69 Utah 60 Grim has a breakout game against his former team. Pane looks more like the Weber game than the past two roadies. Newbold hits 3 threes from passes out of the post from Tai. Brian and Pooh keep doing what they're doing offensively. Brady stays solid and Walker hits a few shots on th...

Re: Pane will tomahawk the Utes with
It's the back screen that gets Pooh or Tyler open on the alley oop play, I think Brady's man would come out at least far enough to back screen him. Brady is also the high post a lot, if you had someone backscreen his man at the high post you'd have Brady cutting down the paint full steam with a lob ...

is the ticket office going to sell more GA tickets or even tickets in the student section? They have to realize that at least 50% of the student section will be empty on Wed. and Sat. right? How many guys these days come right out and pop the marriage question? It's always smart to inquire about interest before inviting someone, I'm sure that's what the MWC was doing. They have a lot, A LOT of pride in that conference. They weren't going to invite us on the spot unless they thought we'd...

I think Pane will play much better back at home. New players typically struggle early on with road games, but settle down at home. I also expect some more offensive punch from Walker.

Re: Brian Green
What hurt Green last year was being forced into a starting role right away because of Pooh's injury. It's very hard to come into Stew's system and start from the get-go. It's a lot of pressure and expectation from the fans, coaches, and fellow players. It would have been nice to let Brian come along...

I'm with sap on this one, despite a couple of gimme's with BYU players draped on his back every time, Jardine was a huge part of keeping us in the game in Provo. I just think we need to use him better and figure out when to get him the ball. Alley oops, quick transition buckets, and waiting for Tai'...

I'm with BigVB, focused on Utah. I chalked this one up as a win for us before the season, but it seems their juco reload is paying off. Their size is a big concern to me cause even the SUU Aussie's gave us problems. I really wish they hadn't put this game during the Thanksgiving break.....stupid, st...

Didn't he play 16 minutes? Not bad for a freshman on a team with this much experience. I think Stew is bringing him along nicely. Even Tai and Newbold were rusty in their first 10 games. We can't expect everyone to be like Jaycee and go nuts from the get go. Plus, keep in mind, Jaycee was a lot more...

These assist numbers will get better with time, but we have to remember most of the shots Tai and our posts are putting in right now aren't counting as assists. The passes into the post don't immediately result in a basket. Typically are bigs right now are having to create their own shot, so the pas...
