Re: Name, Image and Likeness and Recruiting
A question. Hypothetically we have all of our scholarships filled and a very good player becomes available. Could a coach
approach a donor and ask him to pay said player for using his likeness until a scholarship becomes available.? Does the
player need to be on scholarship

If Dorius is on an accademic scholarship their would be no reason to give him an athletic scholarship. I remember when David Collete was here he was on an academic scholarship that had more benefits with less restrictions than a athletic scholarship. Once you receive an athletic scholarship you can'...

Would this apply to someone like Marco who has already transferred once. Would he have to sit out another year or are there still different rules for grad transfers.

I have seen some records displayed in the past. But I don't know if the last couple of strength staffs emphasized how much you could lift over reps and flexibility..

The architects didn't quite get it right the first time around. We poured a 6 inch floor slab over metal deck. The most used product is a solid rubber flooring made by Mondo. They had recommended a product that was 3/4 of an inch thick that we installed. After about 3 years it started bubbling up wh...

I was listening to his radio show this week and he mentioned how much he enjoyed spending three days in Logan last weekend.. Don't hear that very often from sportscasters.

I have enjoyed listening to Doug Gotlieb. Just seems like the kind of guy you would like to sit at a sportsbar and watch a game with. His experience having played the game is insightful along with his compliments to the coaches , players, , and city make me a fan of his.

Re: Jakob Robinson transferring to BYU
Roy, you already know this is who I have been referring to when Jakob Robinson has been brought up. Here's the story. Jamal did in fact play for Henry Colombi Sr. We officially offered him in March of his junior year. Over the summer and into the fall, myself and Colombi Sr., convinced Jamal that Ut...

Re: Love this new coaching staff
New staff does seem awesome! Hopefully we can reel some of these offers in. The only nit I have to pick with them (and it is a small one) is the “Faith, Family, Fun” motto that keeps popping up. That slogan just hits a bit weird for a football program at a state-run educational institution. I am pr...

Re: Love this new coaching staff
Every coaching staff is different on the way they handle recruiting. From the posts I have seen I would guess we have made between 30-50 offers. In addition there will be additional offers made with players playing football in the spring. In reality we only have somewhere around 20 scholarships to f...

I think Hartwell said in his interview this week that the teams in the hunt for a tourney bid would not makeup a game with anyone that would that would hurt their net ranking. I believe that Fresno and Wyoming would fall into this category

Time to allow more fans in the Spectrum?
The 1500 capacity for the spectrum was formulated when we were having around 200 cases a day in Cache County. Today our average dailey cases dropped below 50 for the first time in months. Based on the statistics I would hope the university would look into 5-7k fans for our final home game in the spe...

If a high school athlete puts in the hard work to get a chance to play college football I see nothing wrong with him some recognition and announcing where he is going to try to play. I would have loved to say I played college ball. Unfortunately I had no talent.

While were playing the stat game how many turnovers per game would he have. It seems he loses the ball quite abit when he is double teamed. He has improved greatly from last year and hope he continues improving. for the next three years.

I just hope the staff does not make the same mistake as we did with Shelly. Transfers will have to compete with our returning players for playing time and no preference treatment will be given to them.

My opinion is Gary had the advantage of improved facilities which made a big difference and he could sell a recruit that USU was a program on the rise. Brent Guy recruited some good skill players for Gary to work with (turbin and Wagner). Garys. real talent was recruiting 2stars players that had goo...

What’s the story on Keenan Duncan? Is he still planning on playing next year? I JUST learned yesterday that Keegan was the ONLY Utah State player to "opt out" of the 2020 season. So he has 1 year, right? I saw he only played one game for fresno in 2018. I assume he was able to get a injury redshirt. If I am looking at this right he could have two years of eligibility if he decides to stay and not enter the draft. He will be a senior with 1 year to play 1. He played as a tru...

I thought the same thing about McEwen and Merrill and obviously McEwen didn't stick around. Also, didn't Nate Williams and Marv Roberts play together or am I wrong? Marv and Nate did play together but not in the backcourt together. Jeff Tebbs was the point guard and nate played as a shooting guard ...

Re: Very solid night for Anthony, Anderson and Bairstow
I would add Ashworth to the list of having a solid night. While his point production was low he did a great job of breaking New mexico press. I don't remember him having hardly any turnovers in bringing the ball up the court. Once the press was broken he found open players that were able to score be...
