Re: Until Aggie fans Travel Well, USU will stay irrelevant!

It takes more than five years of relevance to create a culture in football, troutputz. This new stadium renovation and our revamped branding with Nike will be tremendously helpful going forward, but schools like BYU, Utah, and Oregon have been winning for much longer than we have. As for basketball,...

Yep. Read this last night. Morgan Stanley estimates Curry's worth to UA to be north of $14 BILLION!!!!! Shoe sales are up 350% YTD. Nike choked and UA swooped in for the biggest coup perhaps ever in sports merchandising ....Fascinating read. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/15047018/how-nike-lost-...

This is terribly sad news. Sager is a guy that everyone loves, and it felt like the NBA community was really energized by him beating it twice. He seems to be a very happy man. I wish him nothing but the best.

Geez, not a good showing from our normal group of competition. ASU-Elite and ASU-Maroon both underperformed, and the University of Utah had as much trouble as we did.

Word on the street is that Clark is into some pretty serious trouble. If what I've heard from various sources is true, it is on the level of Hayden Weichers in terms of seriousness.

Cool. I wonder if they'll ever upgrade the Ray B. West building. I think they enjoy how old and traditional it looks from the outside, so a full remodel is doubtful. The inside is a nightmare and any sort of work might leave that baby structurally unsound until its done. I like the quad, but those ...

Re: Garretson is a captain at OSU

I feel like Matt Wells did what he thought was best for his team at the time (giving Chuckie the starting spot), and DG did what he thought was best for him (not risking losing another redshirt year only to play in 5-6 games). No blame on either side, IMO. Both parties will be fine, I believe.

Re: Gameday shirt idea

The new shirts might already be designed, but I thought this would be a good idea for the future. What if they did an Aggie Legends series of gameday shirts? Like four or five of them? They could all be the same on the front, but on the back feature the last name of an Aggie legend coupled with the...

Huntsman Hall Open, New BNR Announced

While not strictly related to football, I've got to think that these buildings only help us on the recruiting front. Part of the allure at a place like Stanford, Oregon, UT, etc. is that the entire campus is nice. I dislike the UofU as much as the next guy, but that central part of campus (President...

Garretson is a captain at OSU

Definitely seems like he'll be the starter for them, doesn't it? I don't think Coach A would have made him a captain if he hadn't already ingratiated himself with his teammates. They are still probably going to stink it up this year, but I'll root for them in the Pac-12. I've always liked DG, GA, an...

The more games we can give to guys like Jones, Pearre, Rector, and Taylor to develop within the system, the better! I'd accept any invitation that comes our way. We need a little bit of momentum going into the offseason if we're going to have a swagger starting on Day One next year!

Re: Requiem for a season

This was a team that had just enough potential to make me think they could win any game on the schedule (except November 29 in Durham), and so little cohesiveness and chemistry that I wondered if they would ever find a way to win. 16-15 is as close to mediocre as a record can be. I downplayed the l...

I think a raucous home crowd for senior night and some general try-hard from our team could get us a victory against Fresno. It could be the difference between a short stay in Vegas for the team or a fun end to the season.

Do we have the tiebreaker over CSU?

I know we beat them twice, so head-to-head I know we would win the tiebreaker. However, I don't know how the MWC determines how to break ties. Having said that, I don't think they will beat both FSU and AFA, so if we can win our last game we could be looking at the 7th seed for the tourney. I know w...

It's never very useful to try and compare across time like this. The game changes so much that you will never compare apples to apples.
