Re: Reasons USU Wins Saturday (none of them reality-based)
LSU, so used to wearing white at home, accidentally puts on the white USU jerseys and plays the entire game as the Aggies.

Re: TT fans in meltdown mode over Wells starting the wrong QB
The "pressbox" is actually a huge recruiting tool. The athletes have to hang out there all the time or they don't eat. That's where the training table is. So every evening they dine whilst watching the sun go down over the valley and watching whatever tv they want on the overheads. It's so much mor...

Re: J Love next Mahomes?
I don't think they necessarily care about his numbers this year. I think the NFL scouts look more at fundamentals, arm strength, and potential. Great numbers help, but don't always translate into NFL success. Look at all the star NCAA QBs who put up amazing numbers but were flops in the NFL. In fact...

Is that yalls old coach? If so when did he leave? What's up with y'all and the pistol offense? Do y'all still run it? Can I get a little history on it? One more thing. Did y'all lose any players of importance this past year? Seems last year was a special year here, if I remember correctly Our QB, L...

Re: 3 things that stood out to me
Statistically our rushing has been virtually identical to last year. According to ESPN stats, the 2018 team averaged 5.5 yards per rush and averaged 203.2 yards per game. This year's team is averaging 5.3 yards per rush and 206.8 yards per game. Passing yards per game is up as well, with 294.2 yards...

Re: 3 things that stood out to me
What concerns me the most is our red zone offense. We have been terrible at scoring once in the red zone. Our red zone TD scoring rate is something like half the FBS average. Discounting the last possessions against CSU and SDSU, where the team took a knee in the victory formation while in the red z...

Re: Uni-Watch: LSU to Wear Purple Vs USU
I always wondered why LSU insisted on white jerseys for home games, their purple/gold combo looks so good. Of course I wonder why any football team insists on wearing white at home when their team colors look better. Even though I hate the Dallas Cowboys, I love their blue jerseys. I also really lik...

BYU at 37.4% baffles me too. BYU is bad, and looked bad in week one. We have them at home and have a two game win streak as well.

I was honestly pleasantly surprised by a lot of players. But could not be more disappointed in coaching. For the most part I agree. Our offense is very Vanilla and way easier to defend than last year. But this is typical for game one with a virtually entirely new offense and new coaching staff. On ...

Re: Playing Not To Lose and bad O Coordinator
Yeah, not a fan of the play not to lose strategy. Wake is an up tempo team, like USU. Trying to run out the clock with two or three minutes does not do much unless you can realistically leave them with only 30 seconds or so. I don't mind doing some runs to force them to burn timeouts, but I do think...

I would love to see a good rugby style USU shirt.
Agree on the logo, don't change it yet again. Since I went to USU in 1989, we have had at least five different primary helmet logos. Stick with one, and have one or two variations for special events.

To be fair Utah had some key injuries in football last year and nearly won the PAC and have some of that talent returning. Although I don’t think they are a team worthy of the playoffs if they beat Wazzou & U Dub they could very well make it. We got smacked around by BYU in hoops last year. Althoug...

The legislature and the bd of regents have really screwed higher ed in Utah. Every community college should not be called a university. Universities are research institutions, and Utah has exactly 2 public research institutions. But if you’re going to go down that road, at least follow the UC/Cal S...

I fear both UVU and Weber in the future, however as of today we are much better academically than either of those two are, so we need to keep that status. Stan Cazier was the worst president USU has seen in a while. He was president all 4 years I was there. Never saw him once. I was in student government, and never even laid an eye on him. For the life of me, I can’t understand why they named the new library after him. Perfectly good naming opportuni...

I would make the case that 72 games against Colorado State would constitute a rivalry. It was just dormant for many years, with only three meetings between 1980 and 2010. But it has been played again for 8 straight years and the overall series is pretty close. The past eight meetings are split at 4 ...

Somehow I am over what happened in 1907. Have no problem with the Utes and no use for BYU. Yeah, it didn't stop in 1907. In 1960 they destroyed the Skyline Conference, and cut Utah State out of the WAC. They consistently blocked our entry to the WAC/MWC until they left for the PAC. Now, they won't ...

We should have been a 10 win team anyway. We lost heart breaker to Baylor, last second TD. Utah dropped punt and we have them beat. Nevada in a shootout 44 to 41. LSU kicked our butt and I cannot remember who else we lost too that year. That was the first year we had lights at the stadium. Our five...

I think TV has ruined college football. Weeknight games are only the tip of the iceberg. The last several games I went to in person were nearly four hours long, and constantly held up for television breaks. It was quite miserable compared to what I experienced while at USU back in the mid 1990s. Thi...

I certainly agree with you about UCLA heading to the Rose Bowl. Semi-seriously, what if a booster won a big Powerball or Mega-Millions jackpot, how much of an investment would it take to secure a USU invite? The investors are being asked to invest a minimum of $100 million. Would the $100 million be enough to secure a USU invite, or do you think it would requir...
